Overall Review: For context, I have a freeNAS setup with an H330 flashed to IT mode. In S.M.A.R.T. these drives only have been powered on once and all have less than 50 hours on them, I assume from testing? I ran a speed test on one of the drives and it comes out at 218MB/s. I usually get used eol sas drives because there tends to be good deals but I’m pleased to find a decent price on some newer 12Gb/s SAS drives with as little use as it has on them and also expected around 180MB/s so…

Pros: With 28-hour-a-day, 8-day-a-week usage across four media servers, we have no operational failures or shortcomings. We will use more of these. Cons: The DAS (Direct Access System) limit means these won’t reliably work for any future use than installed-in-computers or some NAS systems. These can’t be used as USB standalone externals. Overall Review: Its a 12 tb hard drive for an extremely good price. I have seen other users complaining about noise, but I have mine in a sound isolated case so I can not speak to how loud it is. Very heavy and installed with ease. Basically everything you want out of a hard drive like this.
