Pros: I plugged one end in to an outlet and my router. I plugged the other end in to an outlet and a Mac downstairs. They worked without any other effort on my part, and it’s faster than my wireless n connection was. Cons: none so far Overall Review: I’ll play around with various combinations of direct to outlet and power bar connections to see how that affects speed and reliability.

Pros: – Small profile – Inexpensive (when I bought it) – Fast – Good riddance to the long buffering! Cons: I am now on my second set of adapters. With the first set, one of the adapters died after less then 15min of video streaming. I got them so cheap, I decided to RMA for replacement. The new set has been going strong for 2 months now, hopefully they dont die. Overall Review: The company that sells these are based out of China. Because my first set died so quickly and Newegg only offered a 90 day warrany, I inquired with Tenda as their RMA procedure if anything went wrong within the 1 year manufacture warranty. I received a response in broken english saying “if break consult your shopkeep”. I sent a follow up email and never received a response. I highly doubt the product has any valid warranty and if it did I imagine they would tell me to ship it to China! Also I had to get short extensions because I couldn’t plug my surge protector into the socket because of the shape of the Tenda. And I am not sure how the device can be 200 mbps when the ethernet ports are 10/100? Anyway, thanks for reading.

Pros: Cheap Blackfriday sale, got them for $20…small (very small size for power line adapter). Cons: Well they worked just fine for the first month or so, I use them to stream netflix in one room (3 times a week) and in my basement for my video surveillance system for my home. The one in my basement died after about 3 weeks, then I switched to it out for the other (Netflix one) and it died soon after. I have an older model zyxel powerline adapter that has worked for over a year and I just wanted a smaller one. DO NOT BUY. Overall Review: I have never heard of this brand and thought I might get a good deal, returning these asap

Pros: Works well. Reasonable speed. Really nothing to complain about. wworks out of the box. Encryption slowed speed somewhat but it was expected. Still able to transmitt CCTV footage to remote server and did not slow access by remote computer. Cons: Nothing to complain about.

Pros: Small and they give you two adapters with cables Cons: They don’t work for long and are expensive… You might think they are not expensive but $40 every two months to replace them to me is expensive. Save some money and buy one that cost more and it will probably last longer. Overall Review: They quit working once after I had them about 4 weeks. I was able to get the going again with trial and error. I disconnected them from the network, unplugged them from the wall and let them sit for an hour. Then reinstalled and they worked great again. They just quit a second time while I was working online and I can’t get them to work again. They look like they work, all the lights do what they normally do, just no internet connection. Also, the utility software that comes with them needs the password for the adapters before you can use it. The password is suppose to be on a sticker on the bottom of the adapter. Mine didn’t have the sticker at all so I don’t have the password. Makes the utility useless.

Pros: – Very small and compact. Does not obstruct other outlet port. – Does not require software. – Inexpensive Cons: – Does not make me breakfast in the morning. Overall Review: What can I say, it gets the job done. You just plug them in and forget about it. Like all powerline units, the speed and quality of your connection is highly dependent on the internal wiring of your house. My house is just 7 years old so I have no issues but I’d definitely have second thoughts if my house was much older.

Pros: Comes with Ethernet cables. Only sticks out about an inch from wall. Doesn’t block both electrical outlets. Cons: The units have a very short life, 10 months in my case. There is no support from the manufacturer. Their 800 number rings to a generic voicemail recording. Their email support doesn’t understand English. Overall Review: The adapters were working fine for about 10 months. They were used for Xbox 360 internet connection. After 10 months, the connection dies constantly. When there is a connection the performance is horrible. The manufacturer cannot be contacted for replacement within warranty period.
