Pros: – Awesome results – no dead spots in my house – Easy setup – iOS app really cool – As fast at former dead spots as it is next to the router – NewEgg comes through again. “A” jacked the prices up on the AC2200 on launch day…NewEgg still delivers on time as usual. Cons: – None! Make sure you update your SRM to the latest version. You may have to manually update the SRM software…I did. Overall Review: – If NewEgg were in a fight, I’d jump in and help out. I saved $40 by buying this through NewEgg vs. “A”. Even good friends don’t save you that much money.

Pros: * Small * Tri-band * Better quality hardware than most * Better quality software than most * It Just Works!! * SRM Software more comprehensive than most, windows-based * Great firmware upgrade process — upgrades all units on your network at once * Easy to add extra wireless MR2200 ac units. * If you want QUALITY come to Synology if you want glitz and glamour go with Asus and Netgear. Cons: * A little harder to setup/program than standard consumer grade, but still very easy * Adding 2nd unit with wired backhaul can only be setup at first via wireless, then you can simply plug it in and it will automatically reconfigure to wired backhaul. Overall Review: I bought this after selling an ASUS RT-AX88U and Asus AC1900P. Those units were dual band, new smaller ones tri-band. Wanting something with more reliable hardware and better software = Synology. Also i didn’t want the new google mesh units — don’t like google products in my home and these are too simple, not as functional as these MR2200ac.

Pros: Just plugged it in, let the main router find it and finish setup. Done in under five minutes! Overall Review: Highly recommend if you want a simple mesh setup using Synology’s SRM firmware. Signal strength and throughput are excellent.
