Pros: I’m sure there’s some truth to a lot of the reviews here. Honestly, I bought this because it was cheap and my hard drive was dying. I now use it as my boot/game drive and it has significantly brought life back into my desktop. Cons: Cloning software from SP would not work no matter what. Overall Review: Downloaded AOMEI for free and it worked. I cloned my hard drive contents, shut down my computer, unplugged the sata to my hard drive and plugged it into the SSD. Booted up, went to…

Pros: 3D NAND for cheap!! They will honor a warranty and they do it FAST. No funny business! Cons: Not as fast as a Samsung EVO but that’s not really a con at this price. Overall Review: I have about 10 of these that I have purchased from various online retailers. (Whichever one wants to sell me the cheapest price on the day I want one.) One of them failed right away, I called them out on their warranty and they had a new one at my door in a weeks’ time. They stand by their stuff, or at…

Pros: I cloned one and installed it in my Macbook. Tremendous performance increase, especially the boot time. I am running Mojave 10.14.3. Cons: Non so far Overall Review: I have installed 4 of these units in about the last year. No problems reported. I would recommend this product based on peformance. Cheers! Vince

Pros: Benchmarked it on CPUBenchmark dot com last night, got a shockingly high speed rating for it. It’s not the very fastest on the market but it’s right up there and a heck of a lot cheaper. Cons: Feels a touch flimsy but how much physical load is an internal SSD expected to handle? Very light weight should mean any perceived flimsiness is more than offset by the very low stresses a light object should encounter in a drop scenario. Overall Review: I took a gamble and bought this based on…

Pros: – Decent 3D NAND quality. Not the best, but should still have higher TBW than QLC NAND – Has both SLC and DRAM Caches, so speeds are very good for their price point Cons: – 5-8% lower performance than Samsung EVO 860/Crucial MX500 drives. However, the Silicon Power SSD is also about 70-80% of the cost of those SSDs – 3 Year warranty vs 5 year warranty of those higher quality drives Overall Review: Definitely my new goto SSD choice if I have to get the best performance per dollar per…

Pros: Seems to be well-made. Cloned my original OS 3.5 drive to it with no trouble at all. This SSD seems to be very fast. Booting to usable system was cut by about 1/2 to 3/4 the normal boot time, with the old 7200 rpm SATA. The over all system is snapper & everything loads so much faster now. Cons: Kind of minor, but when I formatted, it only shows as a 475Gb drive. Still, not bad at all. Overall Review: Time will tell how good it really is, but thus far I’m very pleased with this…

Pros: -Fast read/writes. -High write IOPS, strange that 4K reads are slower. -Great value, especially if you can find it on sale. Cons: -Cheap build quality, but to be expected at this price. Overall Review: One of the cheapest DRAM cache SSD drives you can get. And though SP Silicon isn’t a household name, they definitely seem to have a pretty big presence in the Taiwanese supply chain. I’ve had good luck with their microSD cards for Raspberry Pi, so I figured why not. Build quality is…
