Pros: Replaced a clunky old 40GB Toshiba HDD with this jewel in a Dell Inspiron 8200. Man, what a performance increase and the Seagate is extremely quiet! Cons: None. Overall Review: Absolutely the best hard drive on the market! I did my product research for three months prior to ordering this item from Newegg. I’ve always been very pleased with Newegg’s quick delivery and service…can’t be beat!

Pros: Seemed fine at first. Cons: Failed after 24 hours. Suddenly “operating system missing” error and strange buzzing noise from drive.

Pros: Seemed quiet and quick Cons: Died in 24hrs. Clicking and buzzing, not recognized. RMA’d, new one seems to be working fine Overall Review: The first one passed DFT’s advanced test and died shortly thereafter, so now I’m a little less confident about the replacement. Someone else mentioned the same failure symptoms as mine – clicking and buzzing. Worked just long enough to do everything for a customer installation, then had to start all over with new drive!

Pros: Price, warranty, low noise, low heat, 5400rpm. Cons: none so far. Overall Review: Running without glitch for 2 years now as a replacement hdd for an ancient sony laptop.

Pros: Quieter than my original drive. Installed, formatted, and installed Windows XP without any issue. Cons: Not a lot of space by current standards, but plenty for my needs. Overall Review: Original hard drive in my Dell D600 crashed. Used this drive as a replacement. Hassle-free transaction and quick delivery from newegg.

Pros: wow this thing is fast compared to my old Dell harddrive. it was a lot quieter and i could def tell that it’s a quiet a bit faster. Cons: one of the pin came bent, but no big deal. i just straighten it back on. worked fine afterwards. Overall Review: fast shipping. newegg is my bestfriend.
