Pros: Large Capacity 7200rpm 2.5″ drive Very fast and easy to work with (if your system can hold it) Cons: People giving a product bad reviews due to their own inability to look up product info…….. This drive is 15mm in Height….. which is larger than 12.5mm….. which is larger than 9.5mm Most laptops will ONLY fit 9.5mm height drives… some will take a 12.5mm but not many. So…… to give a product which is stated as an Enterprise drive with a 15mm height a bad review because you…

Pros: Big, small form factor, mounted in a 3.5″ adapter airflow is really good around these smaller drives. Cons: None that I saw. Overall Review: This is a CONSTELLATION drive, not meant for laptops at all. It also runs way to hot to be sitting in a laptop as well.

Pros: Awesome Cons: None Overall Review: Reading is fundamental people, seriously. This info came right here on Newegg, on the Features tab for this drive. It clearly states enterprise class drive, as well as 15mm z-height. Features Features Second generation of the first 2.5-inch, mainstream capacity, 15mm z-height, enterprise-class nearline drive for space-constrained data centers 2.5-inch enterprise-class hard drive Energy efficient storage at under 3.31 watts (idle) Highest nearline…

Pros: Bought this ‘third’ drive to add to a RAID pair as a spare. I now have three of these 2.5inch drives installed in an HP ML370 server platform, used as a home PC. Twice when I didn’t have the spare, I encountered data loss while making configuration changes on another SAS adapter, not the HP P400 adapter these are attached to. Since I added the spare, I haven’t experienced any problems, and I have been making other system changes. It seems like a solid performer, and certainly has the…

Pros: In comparison to a similar 3.5″ drive: Very quiet Low power Rapid acceleration from rest Excellent volumetric density Cons: May be tall for some users Overall Review: I’ve been using these drives in a SNT-SAS425, which converts a standard 5.25″ bay into four hot-swappable 2.5″ bays (Awesome!), for just under a year now. I had a large RAID 5 array of 1TB disks that I’d had for a while and didn’t want to go through the expense of changing all the disks to larger ones but needed more…

Pros: Spin up fast, fast access times, excellent density for the size. I have been using these (8 so far) in ESXi servers for over 3 years, I have never had a failure. 4 of these have replaced “laptop” hard drives during that timeframe. Very happy with these. They are proving well worth the money (you get what you pay for is true here, higher quality components), these are after all Enterprise-class HDDs. Cons: None so far. Overall Review: These will NOT fit in a laptop, they are 15mm high,…

Pros: Extremely reliable and efficient drive that is priced at a point that small businesses can benefit from. I purchased a pair of these to use as a on-site backup storage for my web server. Because my ISP charges per U, I bought a 1u server which used 2.5″ drives; this works perfectly as I can instantly restore my customers’ backups instead of having to go on-site and restore from off-site copies. These drives have been going strong for 3 years, now! I just moved them into a new array and…

Pros: They worked, no complications with the function itself. Cons: These HDDs were too thick (height-wise) to fit our NAS’ HDD bays. Overall Review: Seller was fast to respond on two separate issues; made the whole transaction much easier to conduct even with the encountered hassles that were in no way their fault.
