Pros: – Screen is responsive and bright. – Speakers are surprisingly nice sounding for being so small. – You get free stuff when you register your tablet with Samsung. – Doesn’t lag and very quick to do actions you ask it to do. – Light weight. – Battery lasts a long time. – A lot of options. – Latest version of Android. Cons: – No backlight for the buttons on the bottom, which would be very useful to have. – Cannot use flash straight out of the box, but that isn’t the fault of Samsung. Overall Review: Bought this to replace my other tablet that died just days after the warranty expired. Was a name brand one too, not some cheap knock off. This tablet is a very nice buy. Wasn’t too sure about it at first, but learned to tweak a few things, and like it much better than the tablet that died. If you want flash, there is a workaround. Just download the Dolphin browser, which is nice btw, and then install the “hacked” flash. Just Google Dolphin browser kitkat 4.4 and you will get a lot of results telling you how to. It’s what I did and it works wonderfully.

Pros: One of the most responsive touch screens I have ever dealt with. Fast and easy set-up: Walks through creating a google account as well as a few other services that we didn’t go with. Easy wifi connection. Cons: I didn’t buy it for me….and the next one I am buying isn’t for me either :(. Overall Review: I will be buying a few of these as gifts in the near future.

Pros: I bought this Tab 4 on a promo for the 1280 screen which is better than the former models. Most web pages are 1280 or less. 1920 seems like overkill and unnecessary. In McDonalds, KitKat 4.4 updated to 4.4.2 automatically. Android is easy to learn in a couple of days. I enjoy free programs like WiFi Analyzer. Also enjoy having my key files and hotlist on the micro SD card. Best of all, everything is FREE. BTW, I dropped it on the concrete and it still works perfectly with only a slight ding on the corner… so it must be rugged enough… Cons: NONE so far. Overall Review: Very satisfied with this tablet for the price. Seems to be the perfect size too. 8GB memory was enough for me, so far, because I don’t have large files to look at…. like video or music. I bought it for the FREE internet.

Pros: Fast, beautiful screen, perfect size, great price Cons: Some may want more features, none Overall Review: I’m so glad I got this over the ipad mini. We use ipad minis at my school and I definitely like the tab 4 better. With the ipad minis, all apps, music, and over all functionality must be done a certain way. With the Tab 4 I get speed, the option to add a memory card, and when I plug it into the computer it responds as any other drive. I can drag and drop movies, music, pictures and much more into whatever folder I want to. The screen is absolutely beautiful and the size is just perfect. Very small bezel on each side so holding the tab 4 seems much more comfortable than our ipad minis at school. The ipad mini is too wide to feel comfortable. On my tab 4 I listen to music, watch netflix, watch my own movies, view my photos, and of course to browse the web. I also use it for all my productivity needs like my calendar, my task manager, evernote, and documents using Google docs and WPS documents. I’ve paired it with my Stowaway bluetooth foldable keyboard and I take notes at meetings just as I would a laptop. I keep everything on my google drive so I always have access to it. For just over a third of what an ipad mini costs, I feel I get more and save a bunch of money.

Pros: Perfect balance of size weight and price Excellent screen Lighter than most alternatives Big enough for browsing, reading, watching movies Cons: Battery started to give problems after only 6 months Overall Review: I’ve used many tablets and so far this is my favorite. The balance of size, weight and price is just about perfect. However, after owning it only 6 months I’ve started to have battery troubles. I’m in the process of investigating to see if it’s simply a question of re-balancing the battery, or if it needs to be replaced. This is disappointing to have to deal with after such a short period of ownership.

Pros: Nice little tablet if you don’t need a camera or barcode scanner Cons: Camera has not ability to focus, can take decent pics or scan barcodes Overall Review: Why would you bother to put a camera on a tablet if that camera is effectively useless? I specifically sought out a tablet with a rear camera so I could use it to scan barcodes. Why not just sell it with no camera, rather than include one that can’t focus on anything? Doesn’t have a flash either. It’s 2016 and it had a rear camera so I didn’t bothered to check if it had a flash and ability to focus, assuming these were the kind of basic features you could take fro granted.
