Pros: – 130W RTX 3080 – Rear I/O Ports (DP, HDMI, Rj45, Power) – Acceptable fan noise for a gaming laptop – Quality build Cons: – No Thunderbolt – No USB Type C Overall Review: At the moment I think it’s a good/fair price, with the MIR if you need it now and can’t wait for BF.

Pros: -PCIe Gen 4.0 Channels -Heat Management -Chassis Materials -130w Max 1080 TDP -Reasonably Quiet, Even at High Load Cons: -Poor Screen (1080p) -Back Panel Difficult to Remove -No USB-C or Thunderbolt (which should be standard by this point. -32GB of ram would have been marginally better. Overall Review: Hi folks! Okay, let’s talk about this surprisingly impressive laptop: First and foremost, you should know that I’m replacing an Alienware 17R4 with a GTX 1070 and all the bells and whistles (including tobii tracking, which I never once used). Basically I was expecting an empty shell of a laptop with a v12 engine in it… But I was pleasantly surprised. On the outside, this laptop is discreetly handsome with a few flares of style, which actually comes off as very mature; saying in a charismatic accent that I like to game but also run a thriving company and am a spy on the weekends. What really wowed me was the performance. The 3080 with the 11th gen i7 are perfectly combined with pci-e 4.0 tech for maximum performance and minimal bottlenecking. This laptop is an overall whisper-quiet powerhouse, even at high performance. What is most impressive is the thermals, keeping it well below redlines with quiet fan operation. I love my purchase.

Pros: -rtx 3080 w/ 140w; i was surprised my gpu had 140w when specs said 130w. so maybe silicon lottery -mini dp; i haven’t tried it yet but it’s nice to have instead of only hdmi -240Hz is niiiice -1tb ssd nvme gen 4 -bluetooth -66 MH/s miner w/ 125w; i can push it more but i want to leave it at my current settings for a while Cons: -1080p max; for gaming, great; for other uses, i miss the 1440p default for me -no usb c (sad face) -no thunderbolt (but it’s ok. i don’t have anything thunderbolty atm) Overall Review: great black friday deal. 100 rebate included. free backpack. maybe free headphones. i was actually looking at a msi 3070 laptop and this one for a few weeks. but when 11/1 dropped i noticed a price change. the price difference of both was only 100, and that was a no brainer for me. i am currently using it to mine btc. this laptop is around the same price as a desktop rtx 3080 w/ higher voltage but comes w/ everything else. this is my 2nd msi laptop within 3 months.

Pros: Sleek design Nice RGB keyboard 240Hz Display Good looking device RTX 3080 130W Good speakers Great colors on Monitor Cons: Janky trackpad Bulky power adapter (understandable) Visible ghosting and trailing on screen Overall Review: If you can catch a deal, it’s a no brainer Got mine during the black November sale If you can’t wait for next-gen hardware, this device is for you Overall, I am happy with this purchase

Pros: – RTX 3080 pushing up to 135W!! – Quality build/Metal finish/Sleek design – The chassis gets warm but the CPU stays cool – Amazing FPS in games and good CPU clocking speeds – MUX Switch – Rear Ports (Especially HDMI, Power) – Laptop itself is portable (not the power brick) Cons: – Loud fan noise (need to investigate further) but helps with cooling – No USB Type-C or Thunderbolt – Power brick is large compared to other gaming laptops but expected because the CPU/GPU is pushing serious power – I was also hoping for a mute button on the keyboard Overall Review: Overall this is a killer deal for a gaming laptop running RTX 3080. I would primarily use it for gaming since the CPU is clocking high speeds and using serious power. I was hoping to get the free backpack but they ran out of stock 🙁 But the laptop is definitely recommended, I think it’s the best deal out there in 2021. I will need to update the review based on the fan noise. From the first look and gaming performance, this gaming laptop is a beast!! Definitely competing with the other gaming laptops with RTX 3080s that cost $2500+

Pros: Hot dang this thing is a powerhouse! I needed a portable high performance rig that I could do some light gaming/sim racing, photo/video editing, and CAD. This checks all of my boxes and more. Ready to go out of the box with all kinds of built in MSI software to help you tune the laptop to best fit your needs. So far, I’ve just had it running Assetto Corsa on the most Ultimate of settings, 60 FPS without breaking a sweat. This is a quality machine that has some great future proofing capabilities with upgradable RAM and an extra PCI card slot. Cons: I guess the battery life? But I’m rarely even unmoored from a wall. I knew what I was getting into when I got this laptop and this was not a deal-breaker for me. I do like that it has settings built in for minding the battery, not charging it fully to keep it in best shape. I do hope the cooling system will be adequate for it long term, it’s pretty loud, but I do plan on keeping it on a stand almost all the time. Overall Review: Absolutely blown away by the value, quality, and capability of my MSI laptop so far. I hope to get at least 5 years out of it, maybe more.
