Pros: -Can go much louder than expected -Bass is excellent for a pair of small computer speakers -Convenient headphone jack and volume controls right in front of me -All wire lengths are almost perfect for my setup Cons: -No separate knob for bass Overall Review: The only negative thing I have on these speakers is that the volume and bass are tied together in one control. These things do actually have great bass, but you have to turn them up relatively high to notice it like with a bulky stereo. I’m slightly biased on the bass levels because I’m used to a stereo with extreme amounts of bass.

Pros: So I had these old speakers for my PC…they were 2.1 and they weren’t half bad…when they worked…but often one of the speakers would cut out so I was gaming in the very infrequently seen 1.1. I purchased these because I didn’t want to spend a ton of money and I wanted something that put out reasonable sound. Color me surprised when these actually put out great sound. I think, for the money, you cannot go wrong. Cons: Will not keep up the neighbors, the bass will neither be in your face nor will it be dropped like it was hot. The speakers tend to the high range and there is a bit of a noticeable cutoff between the mid and sub range. But if you really cared about this, why are you looking to spend this much money on a set of speakers? Overall Review: Audiophiles should look elsewhere. Anyone else just needing a solid set of speakers should pick these up.

Pros: -Excellent Sound Bass & Treble -Ideally for Budget, Performance, and Reliability -It’s affordable to all consumers -Easy to enjoy with musics, games, and movies. -Great for casual gamers, gamers -Easy to plug in and play -No 360 Degree Sound -No THX -Better overall sound quality than Z323, Z523, and even Z623 Speaker System -Subwoofer fits no problem under the desk since it’s small Cons: -Wires are too short -Needs braided wire to protect cables without any interference -Control Pod requires cleaning when it’s first opened out of the box and it definitely affects audio when tuning up the speaker volume as well as pressing power button. -Tuning up the speaker volume up to the max causes very noticeable Static Noises when using Realtek Onboard Audio unless you have a Sound Card installed. Overall Review: When it’s opened out of the box, make sure you open the control pod via using fillips screw driver and spray it with WD40, and just simply rub it with a wash cloth to make sure that you get very clean signal when tuning the speaker volume as well as pressing the power button, too. -I’ve recently tested Z323, Z523, and Z623 2.1 Speaker System and from my experience, all these 3 speakers I’ve listed are completely abysmal and horrendous that Logitech designed these speakers ever made! I remember Logitech recently made X-230, Z2300 Speaker Systems in the past few years, but now Logitech discontinued making those products and only left with Z313 as one of the best budget 2.1 Speaker Systems on the planet! In conclusion, I’d recommend this Z313 2.1 Speaker System to gamers who needs enough Bass as well as better Sound Quality, rather than spending over $110 such as Z523 and Z623 Speaker System. Note: make sure to get a sound card to get full potential sound mix out of your system when playing games, musics, and movies! Trust me, I’ve had these Z313 Speaker Systems for 5 years and it never lets me down. Also, I was very disappointed with Z323, Z523 speaker systems since it uses useless 360 Degree Sound Effects which ruins sound detail and I wasn’t unable to hear everything such as grenade explosions, building collapse, lack of bass & treble, etc. Last but not least, Z623 uses total 200w total rms power and the bass was great, but not so great due to fact that it uses THX Certification that is designed for Home Cinema movies, but not ideal for games and music.

Pros: It does what it’s supposed to do–provide great sound. I’m a heavy movie watcher and gamer and I really like the sound. A little background–I have a MSI Gaming 5 motherboard and the room where I keep my PC is pretty small, so that is why I went for a 2.1 configuration. The sound quality is pretty good for just $40. Granted, you will get better sound quality and clarity if you went for say the M-Audio AV40 or Corsair SP2500, but you will pay for the quality ($150+/$200+). I was not constrained by budget, but I really couldn’t justify spending more–might also have to do with the fact that I used these same speakers for a PC build for my parents about a year ago. Regardless, if you’re not an audiophile, then you won’t really care for more expensive speakers. For movies and gaming, since I game pretty close to my PC and as I have a small room, it works really well for me. As for volume control, since I live in an apartment, I haven’t tested it’s capacity. If I recall, when I built parents’ PC, it was pretty loud and that was in a pretty big room (at least 250 sq ft). Cons: For $40, what more can you ask for! Overall Review: I really thought about spending $200+ for the Corsair SP2500, thinking that I would actually benefit/enjoy/??? from the higher quality speakers. Honestly, had I gotten them, I would have been really admiring of them for maybe a few days, then the novelty would wear off. I watch movies, listen to songs and play games all the time, but I find myself more involved in the image rather than the audio, so a higher quality sound set might be for those who prefer to be more involved in the audio as well. Just me 2 cents.

Pros: I was very happy with these speakers for a while. Good bass. I’m a causal listener and they were fine. Cons: These speakers started producing a noise that I would describe as sounding like the noise you hear when wind blows by a microphone. I was able to get it to stop by pulling the jack out of the sound card and touching the tip – it was as if I had to discharge a static build-up or something. Sometimes that helped. Other times, it didn’t. The sound was very noticeable when no other sound was being produced but could even be heard when playing music if you listened for it. You didn’t have to listen very hard to hear it. Overall Review: It is interesting that in all of the negative reviews on this product, the manufacturer has not responded. I checked the ‘mfgr responses’ checkbox when I searched the reviews and there were NO reviews.

Pros: Solid for the price, hard to beat. The quality is decent and it gets loud enough for any gaming needs. Cons: You aren’t going to be hosting any parties with this thing as it is limited in how loud it gets, but for the price that is hardly a con. If you are buying a sound system for primarily music you probably want to look at a higher price point. Overall Review: If you want a low price, but quality speaker system with a little bit of kick for gaming, this is for you. It may fall a little flat if you like to play music very loudly or use it for a party.

Pros: doesn’t take up a lot of real estate on my desk, yet puts put some good sound all in all.. bass is good but really only at higher volume levels.. Cons: all styles with a control pod create a fair amount of extra wires so have a few ties available.. only control is on/off and volume, no separate control for bass.. if used with a separate sound card or with an equalizer available you might be able to improve the bass response.. the right/left speakers are quite small; i mean a bit less than fist size; but they put out a clean mid and treble.. Overall Review: you can turn these up and blast the place…
