Pros: Awesome, professional build quality. Logitech continues the tradition of very well built mice. Great for mmos obviously as this could replace an entire keyboard with the help of two mode switchers. Keypad on the left side feels nice, and the indents in the buttons left you know where you are without looking at the mouse. I hate having to push to talk on VOIP sometimes in the middle of battle, and sacrificing a keyboard key for push to talk. This mouse makes it easy if you bind the pinkie clicker to push to talk, leaving everything else intact. I don’t see how you could fit any more controls on a mouse without having it be a clusterf___, this is the ultimate deal. Software was easy to install and use, with instant feedback interaction with the mouse. Cons: A little wide; if you are used to claw grip with both your picky and ring finger on the right side of a mouse, this wont allow you to do that in most circumstances as there is a ring finger clicker in the way, your only movement control fingers are thumb and pinkie. Personally I think the mouse would have been fine without the third clicker, making the mouse thinner and more easier to control. You already have a ton of buttons without it, including a mode switcher behind the scroll. The mouse is pretty heavy to start with, with no way of modifying the weight. If you are used to lifting the mouse constantly, this will take some getting used to as your only grip points are the pinkie finger and your thumb which rests on buttons. I guess for the reasons stated above, the mouse would take a week or two to get used to, nothing major. Overall Review: Great mouse overall. Logitech continues to build quality products.

Pros: This mouse feels very comfortable, even with 10 hour plus gaming sessions. It takes some getting used to the different way you pick it up though. Usually you just lift a mouse with thumb and ring finger, The way that this mouse is shaped, you can essentially use your whole hand to pick it up (a little on the thumb, palm, ring and pinky fingers) The amount of buttons, plus the option to press the G shift button and have them all remapped to something different is awesome for my MMO games (Aion, Guild Wars 2). I only use 3 buttons for usual web browsing and such (right and left clicks, and scroll wheel). I like the lighting options, but it’s not a selling point for me. I keep it at a dark blue. It glides real well across my mouse pad. (Razor Goliathus Control Edition) I have no experienced any mouse curser jumping whatsoever. I have my DPI set to 2,000 and I make sure my mousepad and clean and I have no issues. I most certainly recommend this mouse. Especially for game Cons: If using the mouse to move in games (Holding down both left and right clicks for both movement and camera control), pressing the G Shift button will stop the signal being sent that you are holding down those buttons. Annoying for users that move their characters with the mouse. For those whom use your keyboard, or game pads like the Razar Nostromo (A must have!) it is not something you’ll ever run into.

Pros: Feels good. Very solid feel and weight. Moves nicely. Very configurable especially with 3rd mouse button. Cons: Was faulty at first. Took 2 of them before the problem was figured out. Initially if I set the software to remember macros on the mouse’s on board memory the mouse would jump to random locations on the screen. I had to switch the software to remember macros on my PC instead. Initially this was very frustrating and angered me. Now that it is fixed I love it. Overall Review: Replaced my Naga with this. Happy with it so far. My Naga mouse stopped clicking a month after owning it then died completely 6 months later. This mouse feels much sturdier.

Pros: Buttons, oh the buttons! Three different modes, I have one for general computer use/web browsing, another for Guild Wars 2, and last but not least; fps games. Being able to customize the thumb buttons with so many different color options. The buttons are easy to press, sensitivity is great (have mine set to 5700 dpi). I could go on and on, best mouse I’ve ever owned. Cons: My dpi always sets to my lowest setting (300 dpi) when I start windows. It is kinda annoying having to press the assigned Dpi default button every time I start my computer. Only way I found to fix this is disabling the driver software from starting with windows. Having the software disabled does not affect the mouse settings or modes since I have it saved to the on board memory…but it does affect my logitech g35 headset which does not have on board memory, therefore disabling surround sound etc. So i had to decide between pressing the default dpi button every time I start windows, or launching the logitech driver software every time I start Windows and THEN pressing the dpi default button…I chose the first option. This con is just a small nit pick I noticed that does not affect the performance or quality, just kinda annoying. Overall Review: The one con is not worth taking an egg off, this mouse is great, and the g-shift button is great for gaming and other tasks.

Pros: One of the best mice I have ever used. It has all the functionality I wanted, with the precision I needed. The colored buttons allowed me to fine tune the light to match my case lights almost exactly. And the buttons are all angled differently so you always know which one your pushing without looking or requiring muscle memory. The only minor problem I have with it is that the mouse itself can only handle 3 profiles programmed into it. (6 if you include the G-shift option) which slightly limiting compared to some other programmable Mice that I’ve seen. But you can switch the mouse to software mode and your profiles will switch automatically with whatever program your running. Of which you can have 3, each with a G-shift mode. So you really have like 6 per profile. The Logitech G programming software is really easy to use, and has all the functionality you will ever need. The only downside is that you still can’t write scripts for the buttons like you can with some Thrustmaster joystick products. I use Autohotkey to overcome this limitation but it would still be nice to have. It feels good in my hand and I can reach all the buttons without shifting my hand. Cons: Ok, so if you’ve done your homework on this mouse you will know that the first batch of these things were defective. they required a firmware update to fix but the firmware was not flash-able. Logitech would replace people’s mice if they contacted there support and told them of the problems they had. The problem is the users had to pay shipping costs and often they would get the same old model back anyway because most support people didn’t know of the issues… So basically Logitech was having the consumer pay to do their recall process rather than actually recall the product and pull it off the shelves. I saw the black ones were out of stock here on Newegg and ordered when they were available again. I can happily say the mouse I got is the new model which allows it to be re-flashed. But I didn’t need too as it already had the latest firmware. So there are no issues out of the box. I tested this mouse and it does not have the issues the old one has. Basically if you right clicked really fast the mouse would jump to the top or one side of the screen. Some people reported the lights going out and then coming back on like the firmware in the mouse cashed and rebooted. Additionally, I seen some people complain about an ever so slight amount of mouse acceleration. As someone who used to play FPS’s competitively I don’t see it with this one. I even put the mouse between 2 heavy objects and moved between them at varying speeds and the cursor stopped at the same place when it hit the heavy objects so I don’t think there is any acceleration anymore on these new models when you have it turned off. Overall Review: The reason I got this mouse is because my old G5 mouse was slowly dieing on me. I got that mouse back in early 2005 or late 2004… Yeah the thing is nearly 10 years old and I use my computer heavily. I have nearly 200 games in my steam library alone and I don’t have a TV because I watch movies and shows on my computer. I even have a blu-ray drive on my computer as well so when I rent movies I even watch those on my computer. I felt like I had to reward logitech for such a wonderful product by buying their top of the line gaming mouse once more. The problem is that all their gaming mice had issues… the g500s makes a high pitched sound for some reason, and these had firmware issues. But I can happily say these G600 mice no longer have any issues that I can see Mine works flawlessly. We will have to see if it holds up as long as my G5 mouse did. Something else I would like to add is that in the pictures and video here on newegg the mouse looks really massive and unwieldy. I can honestly say that when I hold this mouse next my old G5 this one is slightly smaller in All dimensions. (Length, Width and Height) The length is actually quite a bit less. On my g5 you could actually rest the base of your wrist on the mouse if you wanted, this one you cannot, it’s too short for that. Additionally it is ever so slightly lighter in weight even without the weight cartridge in my G5. I did a lot of research and for the money you simply could not beat this mouse for what I personally needed… Hope that helps anyone looking for at this mouse but runs away screaming when they google the model number, lol.

Pros: 3 years later; no aesthetic or functionality degradation with at very least 15-20 hours of use a week. still better options than the majority of “gaming” mice out there. 1- awesome amount of buttons: tilt wheel(2), extra lower middle-clicks(2), left thumb(12), 2nd right click. so 17 extra buttons.plus, can assign a “G-Shift” option to one of the buttons so when held will allow a 2nd assignment to each additional button.also plus, 3 different profiles for each executable so really 6 different assignments for each button.and also plus, a “DPI Shift” option that works like a programmable “sniper” button that can lower or raise the DPI when held.2- DPI: up to 8200. each profile can have multiple sensitivities easily changed by assigning extra mouse buttons.3- decent weight to it allows good response no matter what DPI you have it set to.4- great shape for anyone with normal to large sized hands.5- LED options are great. can change to any color but can also assign patterns to the light effects.can assign different lighting color\effect profiles to any executable. *all peripheral devices should have this type of setup by now.6- logitech gaming software is very easy to install and use. once you realize how much is possible with this mouse the software is very intuitive. Cons: could be heavier, or even better would be to come with customizable weights.is wired, but wire is long and loose and sturdy and causes no problem whatsoever. i just got used to being able to easily detach my mouse and take it to my bedside table when watching movies from PC to HDTV.easy solution: get a cheap wireless keyboard\touchpad. Overall Review: i currently have the MS Sidewinder X8, the Corsair Sabre RGB, the Corsair Vengeance M95, and the Razer DeathAdder and this blows them all away.some people may say who needs 12 extra thumb buttons but once you’re used to using your thumb ingame you can never have enough.same with the extra right-click button. i couldn’t get along without it now.just about the perfect mouse for me.

Pros: Laser = accurate Use “green” lighting mode out of the box if you don’t want to install the drivers — in that mode one of the top buttons controls sensitivity and it works great. Reasonable software, works with Autohotkey quite well. Cons: None really Overall Review: I have two of these — one used as just a normal mouse, and one super heavily scripted with Autohotkey and the Logitech SW… this is great for office use — you can script common autoreplies like “check my calendar” and “read my last email again” 🙂
