Overall Review: 1 month since I bought this laptop and so far enjoying it. Overall very good laptop, light, nice build (seems durable), came with a decent enough gaming style mouse (wasn’t expecting it, but they should’ve send a mouse pad with it as well). Only some minor issues, had a small delay during delivery but still arrived in time, and for some reason every once in a while there’s a glitch or it slows down for a second or two, other than that everything seems and feels ok.

Pros: – Solid build quality – Great performance:price ratio – Comprehensive IO – Came with a free M300 mouse Cons: – Power users may find themselves wanting for more ram/faster clock – Windows 11. Just…sigh. Overall Review: Quick background: Coming from a very highly-spec’d Dell Precision M4800 (workstation/desktop replace) that, while being a decade old at this point, was (and still is to be honest) more computer than the average person really needs. However, the Quadro K2000 2GB card was a bottleneck. I don’t game that often, but I like to occasionally play Madden and Halo. However on my previous computer, I could only play Madden 08 and up to Halo Reach. — I knew this would be an upgrade, but I was surprised by how much. Operation is snappy, and battery life is solid. The 7-hour claim may be a little…aspirational. But I streamed a full hockey game in 1080p, and the battery level was close to 40% when I got home and plugged it in. My only real complaint is Windows 11, which is maddeningly frustrating for several reasons. For that reason, I’m dual-booting with Ubuntu and using Windows only when I can’t get something to run in Linux. I imagine I’ll double the ram within a year, but I’m very happy with the purchase. The build quality feels very satisfying and IO options are generous. Power users will likely want something with higher specs. But this is exactly what I needed, no more and certainly no less. And that is reflected in the very accessible price point. And hey, it came with a mouse that’s apparently valued at $50. So if this is in your price range and you’re on the fence, I encourage you to give it a shot.
