Pros: Ready to setup Works with Alexa and Google Now Add timers and schedules Cons: Lights are a bit pricey when not on sale Overall Review: These bulbs work great. I use them on a schedule for my exterior lighting. I like that I can change the colors for various holiday’s.

Overall Review: High quality and also interactive with other devices. The lights have bright colors and the app is excellent. Sometimes there are a few hiccups when turning them on or off but that is minor.

Pros: Works flawlessly, once paired to wifi network. The lighting creates a unique ambiance that can be changed effortlessly.. You can group up to five bulbs and sync their lighting effects, or configure individually. Cons: Its just a lightbulb, and oesn’t mine Bitcoins. Pairing takes a bit of patience. Overall Review: Excellent.

Pros: – Cheap to purchase and own – Easy to set up – Can be run on local WiFi network only (no internet access needed, except for firmware updates) – Fleshed out ecosystem – Works with many smart home controllers and apps (SmartThings, Google Home, Cons: – Inconsistent quality and reliability (the big issue) – Uses WiFi instead of faster(?) and dedicated wireless standards (I knew that going in) Overall Review: For a cheap smart bulb that integrates with a number of other platforms, at the core this is a good product. However, I would hope that I could buy two of the same product at different stores and get the same result – that hasn’t happened here. One bulb works pretty much flawlessly: it never fails to turn on, off, and change color immediately. Works fine after multiple power cycles and router reboots, with no connection issues. Exactly what you want in a smart bulb. The other bulb I have is somewhat opposed to the concept of taking suggestions to input: the bulb will delay (often breaking automations it is included in), not respond, or completely drop off of the network. Automations sometimes have to be run twice in order for it to respond correctly. I’ve heard that others have a similar issue as well. Sometimes you get a good one, others you don’t. I would buy more of these, but as things stand, I can’t really justify recommending these bulbs for anything important. TP-Link’s Kasa series of switches/plugs are nice, and seem to work reliably however (I haven’t had any issues for the most part with them). For lighting, I would probably look elsewhere as of today.
