Pros: 6C/12T, not bad. Cons: None Overall Review: As of today, the description of this item is still wrong, it states “Cooling device not included – Processor Only”, which is wrong, it does come with the stock heatsink. But bought a Noctua NH-L9x65 anyway, it works much better.

Pros: – Plenty of processing power for a home server. – ECC memory support. – Comes with Intel cooling solution (CPU fan), counter to product description. Cons: – No integrated graphics, so you’ll have to rely on motherboard graphics or a graphics card. Overall Review: So far I’ve only had good experiences with this entry level server CPU in my home server, and would recommend it. It runs multiple VMs, jails, and ZFS pools in my FreeNAS box without issue.

Pros: Best value in E series Cons: Mine did include a cooler–heads up Overall Review: Spent a lot of time looking and was glad I decided on this cpu for my home server. Definitely the best choice in the lineup with hyper threading and plenty of single core speed. Running ESXi with Windows, FreeNAS, two Ubuntu, and pfsense vms and everything has been perfectly smooth. Turned it on and have 60 days uptime

Pros: 6 cores / 12 threads Great performance for price ECC support Overall Review: Works great with an AsRock Rack c246 motherboard. The included cooler is quiet and only spins up under heavy load. I’m using this with a dual boot Ubuntu desktop and Windows 10, running a ZFS file system on the Linux side; the ECC support is nice to have with the ZFS file system. My setup didn’t require IGP and so this processor performs great for the price.
