Pros: – tons of overclocking headroom – dropped right into my ASUS WS X299 Sage motherboard -cost me the same as my i9-7900x when bought in ’17 -18 cores 36 threads -more PCIe lanes than non-HEDT Ryzen 3950x Cons: -still on 14nm process node so no new ipc gains -no PCIe 4.0(while I’m labeling this a con, the extra PCIe lanes + the lack of PCIe 4.0 devices make it a wash) -POWER HUNGRY if heavily overclocked Overall Review: As a professional, who already had a X299 motherboard, this was a…

Pros: my last PC was 10 years old 980x and still going fine, things around it that broke. This 10980XE should last 10 years also. These are cheap compared to some Xeon/AMD of this caliber. Cons: nope can’t think of anything, maybe couple hundred bucks cheaper would’ve been nice, but that applies to anything. Overall Review: here’s to the next 10 years!

  4. Naran P.

Pros: Stable at 4.8 small overclock to 4.9, all remaining cores set at least 4.5 On par with par with Amd16 core parts, slightly less powerful the latest flagship Amd 5950x which is tiny bit cheaper Cons: Needs good cooling, mid to large AIO works good even with slight overclocks. Isn’t quite as powerful now as Ryzen 5950x or 24 and higher core Threadripper. Is aging tech and is likely to be refreshed soon including motherboard chipsets. Can get power hungry with overclock ensure adequate…

Pros: None that I can tell, doesn’t work with my motherboard Cons: Wrong CPU Overall Review: From this particular seller (VPN), you don’t get the correct CPU (the one on the right in the picture, as compared to my old cpu)

Pros: I love it. I didn’t really need the upgrade, but I wanted to maximize the longevity of my build, so I went with this chip. Honestly, I should have bought something cheaper, but with my new interest in editing, I might need the extra horsepower in the future. Cons: Still a bit pricey considering the AMD chips that are a bit newer are cheaper and perform better. Overall Review: Overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase, and the company Antonline that sold it to me eggceeded my…
