Pros: I thought my upgrade from an old i7 920 (4 coresx2) would be a marginal improvement, but this one is fast! My video rendering time is cut in half and I didn’t know web pages could be loaded that fast – I always assumed that I was constrained by network speed. Cons: None

Pros: I’ve built two Haswell systems in the last couple of weeks, one with a Gigabyte motherboard and one with an ASRock. I’m running the processors at 4GHz with DDR1600 RAM. They’ve passed overnight sys_basher tests at the 4GHz speed. When running sys_basher (which runs all the cores at 100% load) I’m seeing the following temperatures with the included heatsink, Core 0: +62.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) Core 1: +53.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) Core 2: +54.0°C (high =…

Pros: This is a great processor. It has very smooth and consistent performance. Temperatures on this CPU are very comfortable and steady. Cons: None. Overall Review: Some might say that since this isn’t a K-series that it is not capable of being overclocked. That is not entirely true. While the multiplier in this CPU is locked at a max of 40, it can be adjusted. This means with the correct motherboard you can set the multiplier at 40 and maintain that 4.0GHz base clock. However, that is not…

Pros: So far this CPU its pretty fast clocked a 4.0 GHZ 4 Cores With 8 threads um-mm OK It works and it is faster than my 4 core AMD 4.0 GHZ But My true 8 Core AMD 4.0 GHZ smokes the paints off the Intel. Cons: Price is the largest issue here Intel Processors are twice the price of same speed AMD’s I7 4.0ghz 319$ AMD 8core 4.0ghz 150$ I know witch one I’m buying from now on…AMD your paying for the Intel name nothing else Never really liked how Intel said I7 when they are trying to say 4…

Pros: not much Cons: did not come with bundles, came with stock intel fan and heatsink

Pros: Good I use this thing for gaming. it’s an amazing processor for the tasks I put it through. Cons: The price it’s kind of high since is not an overclock processor. After a while I figure that the Intel Core i5-4690K Devil’s Canyon performs just as good as this one. Anyways its a good processor.

Pros: I was torn between this and the 4790k, After doing a lot of research I decided the 4790k was even more overkill than this processor. And I was right! This processor paired with good memory and a nice gpu will handle anything you can throw at it. I’ve tried to stress this thing just to see if I can, I haven’t found a way yet. One more thing to add since a lot of people don’t talk about it. The stock cooler on this looks cheap, but does the job very well. It’s near silent and keeps the…

Pros: I coulda got an AMD for much cheaper with similar performance, BUT, I would have had to upgrade my power supply to a much larger unit. Cons: None Overall Review: As it stands, I am running a gaming rig with an nVidia 980Ti video card, and it hums along just fine with a 500W power supply. I could not have done this if I went with the less-expensive AMD processor and AMD Devil13 video card. AMD needs to up its game and get down to the same trace size on its CPU’s and GPU’s as intel and…
