Endurance Rating (Lifetime Writes): 100 TBWEmpowered by Intel's innovative Intel's 3D NAND QLC technology, this SSD offers higher capacities at a lower cost than TLC-based storages. With PCIe, the new Intel SSD 660p skips SATA and its limitations. The future of storage is built on PCIe, NVMe and QLC technologies, so choose the Intel SSD 660p, ideal for Laptops and Desktops running everyday computing applications.Compared to TLC's capacity, Intel 3D NAND QLC technology stores more bits per cell, allowing for higher capacity, faster read performance and lower power consumption per drive. This technology makes the most of small spaces by expanding capacities up to 2TB of storage on small M.2 form factor.

Pros: easy physical install (1 screw) fast drive, easy install priced decently for an M2 ssd Cons: you get used to the speed – I started of with a 256GB SAMSUNG 840 PRO, then I purchased my current system (from Newegg) and it came with an M.2 SSD (Intel 660P 128GB) which was not large enough for OS, programs AND games. So my games and other large install programs ran from a 2TB HDD. I wanted my games and at least the audio/video editing applications on my SSD so they would open faster or…

Pros: Fast reads, big capacity Cons: I knew what I was buying, so I have no complaints. Overall Review: The negative comments you see are mostly from people who didn’t bother learning what QLC is and how it should be used. It is very fast for reads, and has a cache so short bursts of writes are equally fast. For sustained writes that fill the cache, then yes, the speed drops significantly. So, it you are constantly writing large amounts of data, this is not the drive for you. If you are…

Pros: 1 TB NVMe SSD for around $110 Great speeds. Cons: Nothing Overall Review: I read some other reviews that gave 1 egg for low transfer speeds for large files. That is not what I experienced in my tests. I installed this as a second SSD for my Lenovo Ideapad 720S. When I copied a 15GB file from one SSD to another SSD, the Intel 660p gave steady transfer speed of around 1.5GB/s both reading from and writing to. If you copy ‘from’ a slow drive then the read speed of the slow drive will…

Pros: – Great Speed – Great Price Cons: None. Overall Review: Youtubers keep saying that this is a bad drive since it only has a 5 year life guarantee, but what they don’t know is that the 5 year mark is only true is you read and write 100GB/day every day. To put that in perspective that 178 terabytes within 5 year…

Pros: – High capacity (up to 2TB) – Low Cost – High speed – M.2 NVME Cons: – Does not benchmark well due to architecture – Slow for very large singe transfers Overall Review: This drives performs well in situations with normal read/write patterns. Because the high-density multi-voltage write technology is slower than lower density technology, it uses a fairly large high-speed write cache, but if you overflow that cache, the speed drops off substantially. In normal use (booting, copying…

Pros: As the title mentions, this is fast and reliable. I have stress tested, used HDD health, and used ScanDisk… so far, perfect Easy install Cons: My system now boots so fast I don’t have time get a glass of water… I am getting dehydrated… Thanks Intel!

Pros: Cheap NVME drive yet offers good read speeds. Cons: Write performance. While the drive initially starts out well, its performance is based on two factors: The size of the file being written and how full the drive already is. This drive uses a variable sized emulated SLC buffer in addition to its dedicated, but small, 256MB dram buffer. This eSLC buffer uses empty QLC space in SLC mode for performance. For the 1TB size drive the eSLC buffer is 140GB which will more the easily handle the…
