Overall Review: I bought this because it is going to be a spare. It is a well known brand name. I cannot review it because it is still in the box until it is needed to replace another one that is in use. But I get solicited by newegg to do a rating and review anyway. The main thing is the price was as good as it gets and it was delivered in a very timely fashion. I do recommend it for that alone.

Pros: – Noise is similar to my old air conditioner but operates at double the BTU.
– Cools my room very fast. (300 sq ft.) (I know this is below the rating but I wanted an A/C that could cool quicker since I occasionally forget to turn the A/C on before bed)
– Includes Foam pads to block noise from outside
– Connecting the A/C to the app is easy as long as you have a 2.4GHz internet connection available.
– App works great. Can Change temperature, modes, fan speed. (except the timer feature, check attached photo) Cons: – Connecting the A/C to the app is frustrating because you need a router that has 2.4ghz internet connection (work around is to have a wifi extender that’s 2.4 GHz)
– The remote temperature will change even if the A/C temperature doesn’t recognize those changes from the remote. So you’ll end up having a temperature of 72 on the remote but 72 on the A/C.
– The remote and app contain settings that aren’t applicable to my A/C model (they shouldn’t be present at all then)
– Timer Feature on the app isn’t usable at all. I have no idea what any of the options are. Overall Review: So far with just using it for a day it’s been great. Not having the timer feature on the app sucks but it’s something that can definitely be fixed. Timer also still works on the A/C itself and the remote.

Pros: – Cools a 22 x 30 x 9.5 ft room that has two ceiling fans very easily
– Quietish. By that I mean its quieter than the one it replaced
– I bought it during a great sale here, and wish I had bought 2 more
– Remote control is comprehensive enough. It is a good size…the small RCs get lost more often Cons: – (minor) The remote control doesn’t appear very powerful Overall Review: – If they were still the same price they were 3 weeks ago I’d buy more now. In the meantime when my existing ACs need to be replaced I’ll likely buy this one, regardless of price.

Pros: Looks nice. Cons: Very very noisy. Overall Review: It’s so loud when it runs. I have 3 other window units from fridgidaire that make this thing seem like an airplane when it runs their so quiet. Also on hot days it makes a deep grumbling noise that makes you fear it will break. Hopefully it won’t because it’s HOT! It does look nice in the window and it took 10 min to install. But I’m afraid it’s gonna break.

Pros: -Cools off my entire 2 story apartment. Cons: -A little loud, but that’s to be expected from a unit this size.
-Stopped working properly after 14 months in NY where it is only used for approximately 6 of those months.
-Remote control is annoying. It keeps the settings from the last time you turned it on via the remote saved in the remote. If you then use the wifi app on your phone and then go to use the remote again it goes to the settings that are stored on the remote automatically. Overall Review: The unit works well when it was working, but it stopped working properly 14 months after I purchased it. I live in NY and the unit was only used for about 6 months out of those 14. The unit would turn itself off for no reason and then when I turn it back on using the phone app or remote, it automatically raises the temperature to 88 degrees. Resetting it via the button on the power chord didn’t correct the problem nor did unplugging the unit and plugging it back in either after 5 minutes or 20 minutes. Then it started making all kinds of beeping noises and toggling the power. I then noticed that the buttons on the front of the unit are also not working, so I’m assuming there is some kind of an electrical issue. There is a 1 year warranty on the entire unit, but I’m not sure if the extended warranty covers electrical issues. Fortunately I didn’t throw out my old unit which wasn’t performing as well as it did when it was new, but it at least works for now.
