Pros: Best part of this UPS is the LCD display. It has a pocketful of vitals that it can display. I leave it set to Output (in wattage) to keep an eye on my power usage. It has a nice back light that can be seen day or night. Cons: None yet. Overall Review: I have not had a power outage yet to test the battery life. Maybe I’ll throw the breaker switch and give it a test. Supposedly I have an estimated 18-19 minutes of battery backup when my system is at idle (170W power consumption). The LCD display will time-out and sleep after a few seconds. To have it stay on press and hold the display button until you hear a beep. Again, and it will revert back to sleep mode. The UPS powers a gamer PC rig with the following specs and devices: Core i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz (2) 4GB PC312800 1333MHz DDR3 ASRock Z68 Extreme 3 (1) MSi N460GTX Hawk @ 850MHz, 1GB DDR5 WD 1TB Caviar Black 7200RPM (5) 120mm fans + Cooler Master V8 Thermaltake Black Widow 850W Tt eSports Challenger Ultimate (1) Samsung 23″ B2330 LCD (1) Viewsonic 19″ VA703B LCD Logitech X540 5.1

Pros: Shipping took like 4 days. It was double boxed and arrived in perfect condition. Good job Newegg. The unit itself had no damage including the outside of the box and packing material. It comes with a manual, TV and phone cable but you have to download the software. The unit worked. When testing it I cut the power to my system and it continued to run my PC with plenty of time to power down. I even used it to charge my phone and watch a little TV on a small LCD TV I have. The unit works great. Power back on. Crisis averted. The unit is small and has plenty of outlets. I downloaded the software and installed it set it up and it was easy to understand. Now if power goes out after 5 min it will shut down the system by itself. The unit: Most of the settings are adjustable. You can turn the display on off continually. You can adjust the sensitivity, self test, audible alarm and many other settings. It was easy to understand how to do this and only took a couple of minutes. I have a powerful desktop with a GTX 980 and i7 K version CPU. It will run my PC for a good 25 min. The software doesn’t come on a disk but you can download it. It Installs in seconds and has many settings as well. The test went perfect. After 5 min it put my PC in hibernation sleep. I could power it on and off many times without an issue. It continues to remind me I’m on battery power both with the software and with an audible beep. I actually wrote this review while on battery power. The unit is heavy, but is smaller than I expected, and the software works perfectly. It can be used in emergency situations for many things. It’s back up power. Charge phones, run medical equipment, TV, radio, I could probably figure out how to charge by car battery with it. The power cord is quality and the USB cord is long. It has been running my PC for 25 min now and it says it has 10 min left. I have restarted the PC 4 times. There is no reason this unit would damage any parts in your PC. In fact it will protect them from voltage spikes. Cyberpower guarantees this with a 3 year $425,000 warranty for any equipment hooked up to it. Cons: I really have no complaints at all. Everything worked perfectly and I was happy with the performance Overall Review: Backup power is really not something I think about often. We have pretty good power here and it rarely goes out. This unit works well and will regulate the power to maintain the quality your system needs, so it’s not just for blackouts. Dollar per watt there is no better APU out there in this price range. It’s small and looks good. I set it to leave the LCD display on and what % of power I am currently using. Very nice unit could not be happier. If you’re looking for a APU with Sine wave look no further.

Pros: Very impressed out of the box, very heavy unit, must have a great deal of batteries inside. With 10 outlets, I installed it on my system. I run 2 PC’s, monitor, light, router,speakers, 2 USB outlets, and a phone. To truly test this out I turned the main power off on the panel. This unit truly does what it says, I had 20 minutes of uninterrupted use, then I turned the power back on. In order to test the surge protection, I will need help from a higher source. I did plug the PC’s and the monitor into the protected side of this unit. I have not had trouble with power surges in the past, and hope for the best in the future. I do recommend this product if you are in the market for one. Cons: I do not have any complaints of yet. It is a simple concept, in order to keep your data safe this is yet another level of protection Overall Review: Insurance companies might want to ask homeowners if they have these, in order to provide a better level of service.

Pros: I was up and running in just a few minutes. The supplied software works as advertised, but isn’t necessary to use the UPS. It does allow you to monitor settings or set up alerts to be notified on certain power events. I tested it several times by unplugging the unit from the wall with everything running. No interruptions were experienced and it was giving me roughly 30 minutes of time at idle. That figure dropped down to 10 minutes or so when gaming. It would drop even more with more devices plugged in. It’s not a generator – but it will get you through short outages or fluctuations without interruptions and allow you to properly power down equipment if power is not restored. The USB charging ports on the front are a nice touch, as is the surge protection on telephone, coax, and Ethernet cables – although its primary use is really as a UPS. Cons: The controls are a little confusing, but 99.9% of the time you use this you won’t need them. They’re just for monitoring various stats on the unit’s LCD screen if you don’t have the software running on a connected computer. It does get a bit louder when its acting as a battery but it’s still quieter than my computer. Not a huge deal anyway as it is virtually silent when connected to power. Overall Review: The included USB cable (used to connect the unit to your computer for monitoring), phone cable, and coax table was a nice touch. The batteries are apparently user-replaceable if their capacity starts to diminish a few years down the road.

Pros: Simple to use – just charge to full capacity and plug in your computer and monitor (ensuring they and other accessories do not exceed the 810W power limit). It works even without the software, though this adds useful functionality via the supplied USB cable.Operates in “Bypass Mode” (bypassing the transformer) when power is normal, for greater efficiency.The software allows monitoring of battery status, keeps track of over and under-voltages the unit encounters (limits can be user-specified), and importantly, lets you specify how long you would like to run on battery power before gracefully shutting down your PC.Since I acquired the unit, it has kicked in twice due to temporary brownouts. I also own its older, more powerful sibling, the 900W CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD, and it kicked in at exactly the same time on both occasions.A “Test” button in the software allows you to try out its functionality by switching to battery power for several seconds. I tried this with my PC plugged in (I was a little nervous) but it worked without problems. The alarm sounded as it switched over, then turned off when regular power was restored. Note: the alarm can also be silenced if desired.The front LCD gives readouts of things like input voltage, battery life, load capacity of the battery outlets, battery charge level percentage, etc., though if the unit is hidden away under a desk, it is not that useful, and the software GUI is easier to use. Cons: Bulky and obviously heavy due to the lead acid battery – but that is true of all UPS products in this range.I am wary of the purported runtime due to previous experience with other UPS units (I have owned four by CyberPower), as they seem to give only a fraction of the advertised usage while your PC is actually running. It’s best to save your work and then shut down as soon as possible, in my opinion.The “Sine Wave” output adds significantly to the cost, but a former model I owned, the non-sine wave CP1500AVRLCD never caused a problem with the Active PFC power supply connected to it. OTOH that unit finally died after a power outage when I switched on the mains breaker (following power recovery) while it was still plugged in. On disassembly I found four transistors on one of the internal PCBs completely fried. Overall Review: I have never had a PC break down or had its OS corrupted while not using a UPS when a blackout happened, but then I was not in the middle of working on a project, and my PC was evidently not writing critical data to the file system when they occurred. At least a UPS gives peace of mind in that regard.I am not using the unit’s coax or network protection (I already have enough wiring to contend with), just the mains battery backup and surge protection.Make sure you don’t plug too many accessories into the outlets, even if they are only using the surge protection. It’s only common sense not to plus a vacuum cleaner or microwave into them of course, even if your computer is using half the rated output, but the power cord can only safely handle so much.I was tempted to drop an Egg due to the somewhat misleading runtime estimate, but I expected this from prior experience. In two weeks of use this UPS has functioned as it should. It has switched to battery power twice due to outside circumstances, and twice when I used the self-test function, so I am awarding it five Eggs. I would recommend this product to others, based on my experience with this and other CyberPower UPS units.Note: This product was provided to me by Newegg for review purposes. I only award five Eggs when I feel a product is worthy and will reduce my rating for anything more than minor Cons, or more than a couple of minor issues.

Pros: – Small footprint and lighter weight compared to other sealed battery UPS units – Included software is easily configured and setup – LCD offers input/output information on anything you would need to know – Able to silence alarm with hardware button on front of unit, no software required or hunting for a button on the back – Provides ample time with my setup even at full load to safely shutdown the PC and NAS attached to it. – Pure sine wave is compatible with newer PFC PSU and perfectly replicates 60hz AC current Cons: – None, works as intended. – Weight is to be expected when batteries are involved. – Ensure you know the loads of the system you are trying to provide power to before purchasing Overall Review: I was surprised by all the information provided by the LCD along with the output of this small UPS. I am using it to power a 2 bay NAS, a PC (i7 2700k, GTX Titan), and a 28″ Asus 1440p monitor. Under gaming loads playing at higher settings in a new game as of this review (The Division) I am able to get 8-10 minutes of reserve power which is plenty of time to log out of anything required and to get the NAS shut down safely. If I am only doing basic tasks or at idle this UPS will provide 22 minutes of power with my setup, (421w at gaming loads, 208w for basic tasks) as well as active load balancing, surge protection, and it also helps lower power consumption in ECO mode by bypassing the transformer thus using less energy when not required. The key with any UPS purchase is to ensure that you never exceed 80% capacity of the unit for any long period of time, so if possible use a meter and see what your hardware draws for power before buying any backup power supply. Also the footprint is much smaller and more compact then the UPS of the old days. As someone who used to lug these around to rebuild I felt the weight was much lighter than my older units but to each his own. If your power needs are in line with the output of this UPS then I highly recommend it and would not hesitate to purchase one for any PC or home entertainment setup.

Pros: I like this particular UPS… it’s 5 x 5 configuration (5 outlets battery / surge protected and 5 that are only surge protected) is already a step up from the CyberPower UPS that I have for our home theater system (which is only a 4 x 4). It also doesn’t have a blindingly bright LED power button on the front (which would make it ideal for a home theater setup). This UPS, like many others will protect all sorts of connections from power spikes / surges such as ethernet, coax (cable connection), and RG11 (plain-old-phone line). This UPS can communicate with the included PowerPanel software via either USB or serial cable (depending on your computer setup). The included PowerPanel software is not required to use the GX1325U, however it “enhances” your experience with it. The software installed just fine on my Windows 10 x64 Pro operating system and was connected to the UPS after I hooked up the USB A to B cable from my computer to the UPS. You get a ton of information… all events the UPS has been through, live statistics, you can even test the UPS right from PowerPanel. Using the included software sure beats climbing under my computer desk to cycle through all the stats on the front LCD panel. The USB ports on the front are a huge added bonus. I could see charging a few cellphones on these ports if the power ever goes out for an extended period of time. The GX1325U information states that it outputs pure sine wave output… so for folks that have newer power supplies that support Active Power Factor Correction, you’re in luck! Cons: None so far! Overall Review: Great shipping by Newegg! Comes packaged in a retail box and then packaged in another cardboard box. Included in the box: GX1325U UPS USB A to B cable RG11 cable Coax cable PowerPanel software install CD User Manual Most UPS’s are very easy to setup and the GX1325U doesn’t stray from the rest of the pack. Plug all of your devices into the UPS, plug the UPS into an outlet. Hold down the power button until you hear a long beep followed by a short one and you’re up and running (the power button hold trick is a “safety” feature so the UPS isn’t accidentally turned on in shipping). Haven’t had any power outages / incidents… but ran the UPS test through the PowerPanel software and everything worked perfectly. It just works… and that’s a good thing; that’s exactly what you want. If you’re going to spend your hard earned money on building the perfect computer… a UPS to protect all of your components is probably the last thing on your mind when you’re selecting parts for your build. HOWEVER, you never know the quality of the power in your living space… so getting a proper UPS to protect your investment is critical. Get this CyberPower GX1325U and sleep easy knowing whatever gear you plug into it will always be protected.
