Pros: Functional and informative LCD screen with high quality features. Comes with Coaxial power surge as well as phone/data power surge connectors. The battery backup and surge only plugs are very nice for load shedding. Everything is well laid out and clearly labeled. The design is compact and light (relatively speaking) compared to other UPS’s I have owned in the same class. Makes no noise during normal operation and the LCD turns off after a delay. USB and phone line cables are provided. Will backup my AMD Dual Core 5200+ & eVGA 8800 GTX w/30″ Dell Monitor as well as my 12 Hard Drive Opteron File Server on the same UPS (567 Watt Draw) for 7 mins. Cons: Only one transformer spaced outlet is available out of 8 and it is only located on the battery backup side. I wish I had one on surge and backup. Overall Review: I also own a Tripp Lite SMART1500LCD and I must say this Cyberpower CP1500AVRLCD blows it out of the water. When I first bought the CyberPower I was a bit concerned about the brand name but I have been very impressed. This product offers coax surge and seperated ‘surge only’ and ‘batter backup’ ports where the Tripplite does not. Battery seems to last longer than Tripplite model as well. I love the ability to know exactly how much power you are pulling and have an automatically calculated estimated run time based on current consumption, also something not offered by my tripplite model. I bought one for personal use and I liked it so much I bought a second for my servers at my business. Both have worked perfectly right out of the box. I have run the monitoring software on XP, Server 2003 and Vista with no problems. I will definitely buy a third in the future if I need another UPS.

Pros: Rated battery runtime is accurate to within one minute. Provides plenty of backup power for a high-end PC system with enough time to save & shutdown properly. Access to instant LCD readings is very convenient & more useful than I thought. Cons: It has a large transformer which will cause poorly shielded devices to emit a faint buzz. However, this is harmless and only occurs when running off its battery in the event of a power loss. Overall Review: I bought this unit to protect a new system which includes a power-hungry PC, a 5.1 system, & two large LCD panels, even though power losses are relatively rare in my area. I’m glad I did because “rare” is never rare enough. A power outage immediately followed by a sudden power surge striked my area about a month after this purchase…so this unit may have already paid for itself. CyberPower customer service seems very good — I’ve had a few questions & concerns, and their support agents responded within a day & were helpful.

Pros: Price was great on sale for a UPS this size. Unit is heavy because it has two batteries. Came very well packed by Newegg in a separate box. Easy setup, you can either use the software that comes with it, or if you have Windows 7, use the software Win 7 has. Best to download the CyberPower software from their web site. It works great on my new system build and has saved my bacon a couple of times with the storm brown outs here in North Florida. I like the software that comes with it. Doesn’t use up a lot of memory and works well in Win 7. Cons: The LED on the power button is really bright. I folded a post it note over the top of the case to filter the light a little. Other than that, if you have a gaming system, or a medium to high end system you want protected. You need this UPS. Overall Review: I have a tower case with three 120mm fans, two hard drives, blu ray burner, 650 Watt PSU, AMD triple core processor, and a 24 inch ASUS HDMI monitor. This UPS has enough power to run everything for up to 32 minutes if need be. More than enough time for the software to do a safe shutdown.

Pros: Works, and works extremely well. LCD readout reveals all sorts of valuable information, like wattage draw, that can help you both verify that the UPS is working correctly and manage your power usage. No obnoxious LEDs, reasonably quiet operation and sensible audible alarms that can be understood from across the house without sounding like a smoke detector. The auto-shutdown and time remaining functions play nice with Mac OS X, no drivers needed. Great price for all the features. Cons: Power button is a little too accessible– I have definitely accidentally powered the thing off. If you keep it by your feet fabricating some sort of switch guard is highly advisable (I made one from two small pieces of self-adhesive velcro and a scrap of plastic). Overall Review: I am very pleased with this UPS overall, I have used numerous APC devices over the years and greatly prefer this CyberPower UPS to any other UPS I’ve previously owned. I live in a rural area with frequent blackouts, so this guy gets a workout. Even on a Mac Pro 8-core with two 23″ LCD monitors, a Wacom tablet, a phone, and all my networking hardware connected to it, I get a solid 5 minutes of uptime with the machine cranking away, and better than 15 if the computer is idle. The phone, cable modem, and wireless router will stay up for well over an hour if the computer is turned off promptly when the power fails. Heartily recommended.

Pros: Confirmed to work with my Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W with no problems or weird noises. Had to get this new UPS b/c my 4-year old Belkin UPS didn’t do the Active PFC thing & my computer would just instantly shut down once the power kicked off & the battery kicked in. Cons: Get to throw my old UPS’ lead batteries into the trash. Maybe someone in a few thousand years can recycle them once they dig them up. Overall Review: Just reporting in that with my config the unit reports 60-64 minutes of estimated battery run time once I yank the cord out of the wall. This is for my home file server that mostly just idles. Sorry, didn’t test to see how long it actually lasted. The unit’s guesstimate was fine for me. Pros: I Love this unit! It has already proven it’s worth 2x. The ONLY battery backup unit that has ever worked right! Shows the wattage of use, that is perfect! Software works well, and protection is perfect! Cons: NONE Overall Review: Get free shipping on this if possible. You will not be disappointed with these! I like the first one so much I bought another for my home entertainment PC, and put my PS3 and XBox on them. So if I get a surge I will not loose my game! I had many power faults happen with these active, and they performed perfectly. The equipment stayed up, and I was able to save progress like I needed.

Pros: Works great! Steady voltage coming to computer plus It keeps me on long enough to save everything. I live in an area prone to quick outages and run multiple virtual machines for work. It was a real hassle for a 10 second outage before this came in. Cons: the battery plugs need to be more spread out Overall Review: I could probably get better time if I limited it to one screen instead of all 3, but it’s still good for 15 minutes with 3 23″, modem, router and PC tower all on the battery side.
