Pros: Mic looks nice, has a long cable. Cons: Pickup on the mic is extremely poor. “The uni-directional mic picks up the slightest whisper” is bull. I don’t know if the internal amp on mine is fried or they just used sub-par components, but at distances greater than about 4-6 inches there is very little pickup even when speaking in a loud, well-supported voice (as you would speak to an audience in a lecture hall), directly toward the mic, with the software gain maxed out. In any case, it won’t work for my purposes so I filed an RMA. Overall Review: If you don’t mind putting your mouth next to it to talk there’s no issue, but I imagine most people will want to place it next to their monitors to use from 1-3 feet away (similar to laptop microphones) in which case you’ll have some major issues with sensitivity if my experience is any indication. The cheap analog mic from my parents’ computer from 20 years ago had better sensitivity than this one. Maybe I should call them up and see if they still have it.

Pros: – Plugged it in, rebooted, and it worked. Have had no problems. Cons: – None at this point Overall Review: There’s a very small dial on the mic, right above the on/off button, to control the volume. I wonder if the other reviews complaining about this mic being too quiet might not realize it’s there. I know I missed it at first, but after turning the volume to max, I’ve had no issues. It does the job for the cheap pricetag.

Decent sound quality (be sure to move the dial on the stand all the way to the right)
Perfect for Skype Cons: If left plugged in and power your PC on, it isn’t recognized by Windows until you disconnect and plug it back in.

Later bought a mic that was $5 more, a bit bulkier, but with volume control and way better input sensitivity. tl;dr Terrible value

Pros: Works as advertised. Wired and has an on and off switch and mike level controls. Genius! Cons: The boom gets in the way sometimes, but that is just a desk layout issue. Overall Review: A wise choice for us wireless avoiders.

Pros: I got this for my office, as we do a ton of webinars and I got sick of pulling my laptop to work for them. My desktop at the office didn’t have a mic. So I picked this up. Sounds great, has a volume and a mute feature on the face. Fits away in my desk drawer when I don’t need. Priced well, and good quality. Overall Review: Great item, I recommend for anyone, especially these days where we are all on webinars and web-meetings all the time.
