Pros: First taking it out I like the heat sync they used. The memory is faster than some other memory I was using so swapped it out. It’s not overly bulky and fits well in the DIMM slots. I ran it stock and fired up PassMark Performance Test. It right out of the gate landed on a 2891.5 Memory Mark for 93rd Percentile. Chrome usage after an hour handled just fine with this even while gaming. I didn’t feel like tabs were sluggish while keeping Borderlands 3 loaded. Though with 16GB it is…

Pros: • Competitive pricing • Clean, simple looks • No RGB flashiness (for those that care) • Reputable brand • Limited lifetime warranty Cons: • You can get some RGB sets for the same money Overall Review: Quality basic RAM kit from Crucial. No flash or bling, and timings tighten up a bit for added performance. Tried a couple of install scenarios. First was in a Ryzen 2600 machine that already has a pair of 8GB Team sticks installed (similar timings). Machine rebooted just fine, with the…

Pros: The simple black, no bells, whistles and no lights, works for me. This RAM looks nice, clean and neat in any build The heat sink works well, since every thing stayed cool. The size kept installation simple. Cons: There are no cons from my point of view.. Overall Review: My test machine is a ASUS ROG Strix x470F motherboard running a Ryzen 7 2700x OC to 4.15 ghz . Initial boot after installing the Crucial Ballistic sticks showed the speed to be 2666 mhz. Setting it in the bios to the…

Pros: + Lifetime Warranty + Clean Simple Black Styling + Works great with AMD Ryzen Cons: – None Overall Review: I have long been very pleased with Crucial products. Their ram and SSD’s have performed flawlessly for me in the past, so I was excited to take these new Crucial Ballistix for a spin. Turns out I had a good home for them in a new AMD Ryzen build I was doing for my daughter. Paired with a AsRock B450M Steel Legend and a Ryzen 5 2600, the ram has proven to be a great match. Just…

Pros: Very stable ram, have been running for about a week now in my machine. There has been no heating issues in a small case with 4 outward fans in the machine. The plain black aluminum heat sinks are nice to see. Not looking to be too flashy when these are in the case. The heat sinks are not large or bulky to stick out past the ram either. Ran this both overclocked and under-clocked, stable at all speeds. The majority of the testing was done at is rated 3200mhz. I would advise against…

Pros: Nice and simple packaging. Easy to open and clear instructions if you never have installed ram before. The product feels substantial. You can tell that this isn’t cheap stuff. The heat sinks are nice and well built. I think it looks good in my case. There are no RGB lights, but I’d rather have it that way. Cons: I can’t think of any cons. I mean, I guess if you wanted some kind of color option, you’d have to go with a different type of memory. Overall Review: I have used Crucial memory…

Pros: Good no frills memory. Runs as expected at advertised speeds. 16-18-18-36 @ 1.35v. Very stable. Ran though several games and synthetic tests. MemTest86 ran multiples passes over several hours without error. Also ran AIDA64 stability test for memory with no issues. While this is not low profile memory, it sits lower than my other G. Skill RipJaws V memory and allows the one DIMM slot under my cooler to be populated. This is an older Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme that I’ve used for…

Pros: This is the RAM that sticks to the basics without frills. The RAM runs stable at rated speed without any issue. Cons: None that I can think of Overall Review: RAMs of same specification these days are pretty much the same regardless of the manufacturers. Some models are try to compete by throwing some LED lights and fancy heat sinks. However, the performance is pretty much the same. If you just want a simple RAM that works, this is the perfect RAM. Preinstalled heat spreaders are…
