Overall Review: Fantastic printer for anyone looking to get into the hobby especially for the price

Pros: Good instructions – I was able to put this together with relative ease. Sturdily built – The parts all fit, it seems well designed and there was nothing out of place or anything that needed to be tweaked or adjusted. Seems to function well Cons: The Z-axis motor plug, a 6-pront plug that only has 4 wires run into it, was missing. The ends were terminated properly, but the actual plastic plug was missing. I submitted a request for a new cable or just the end with a wiring diagram so I could put the terminated ends into the plug myself, and did so following their instructions and included pictures of the cable with serial # and all other required fields on the Creality site, waited 2 days, no response. I submitted a follow-up email over the weekend to their customer service email address – no response as of the time of this writing. Customer service seems a little slow on this product. I’ll have to return it for a replacement or refund if I don’t hear back in another day or so. Overall Review: I’ve seen these work – have a couple of friends that have them. They’re good printers, and they love them. Customer service on this item seems slow, and to be completely honest this is my third and last attempt to get support on the product before returning it. ***Update*** 11/23/2021 First and foremost – the seller is phenomenal. Before I decided to return this for the missing cable, Newegg hooked me up with the seller directly and we’ve been in touch. They arranged for a replacement printer and sent me the cable so I was covered either way. I installed the cable, then arranged to do a test print, only to hit the black screen of death that some people have experienced with this printer…but luckily the community came through and I found out that it needed a firmware flash. Save yourself the trouble here: – Use a card no bigger than 8GB in size. – Format FAT32, quick format in Windows will do fine. – Download the correct firmware BIN file. You may need to also copy the DWIN_SET folder from the “screen” subfolder to the root of the card (the entire folder, not its contents) – rename the .bin file to something unique. These printers “remember” every firmware flash filename ever used to flash them so you can’t flash the same file twice. Use something shorter than 8 characters long. – power off the printer, insert the card, turn on the printer and wait. if done right, the screen will come back. If not, wait a full minute before turning it back off to prevent a bad flash that might brick it. Rename the file, repeat the above. After all of this – the printer is doing its job quite well. The seller saved the sale. Never did get a reply from Creality’s support page, but the seller went above and beyond to turn this into a great sale. Now that I’m familiar with the quirks, might just get a second one. Review revised to 5 eggs for seller support and for a good product – once I learned how to navigate all of the quirks.

Pros: – Great print quality. It is my second printer, and this ones is way better than Monoprice MP Select Mini (which also gets the job done) – Large printing area makes this printer way more suitable for many in-house applications – Out of the box profile in cura 3d, which works great Cons: – Assembly instructions could be better. It would be helpful to have a video instructions. I tried looking up that on youtube and people were talking more about their take on assembly, rather than what is supposed to happen. I was able to figure out the gaps from my previous experience with 3d printer, but for a newcomer it might be confusing. – There should be something on how to calibrate printer included with instructions, but nothing is mentioned. – The home point for the printer is off the printing plate. It looks like that is how it is intended but confusing. Overall Review: Great printer, definitely best for the price. It produces pretty high quality prints. There are some improvements that can be done to the construction, and you can print those yourself, but none of them are must haves. I would still think that it might be better to start with a pre-assembled machine as a first one, even if it is worse than this one. I’m happy with the path I took. Cheap Monoprice Select Mini – then this one, however this printer costs just a bit more than the Mini, and Ender 3 is just in a different league.

Pros: Accuracy if built right, fairly simple to use, comes with snippers, Cons: Only comes with a small amount of filament to test update..REALLY MAD! thing leaks like a perforated hose. tried all the youtube videos about the issue and no help. have disassembled the hotend so many times trying to get it to not leak that the thermisor wires broke, replaced and now won’t hold temp or shuts off at 125c. , not enough for the sample files. Overall Review: Plenty of online videos to show how to assemble. First print (no calibration) came out looking better than anything the Tronxy I had ever looked. There are soooo many videos to show how to build it and how to print accessories to help keep it working nice. There are also a lot of upgrades and accessories available to buy. This is my second 3d printer….should have been my first. update, sorry I bought it….have spent a fair bit of time and money trying to fix with no luck
