Pros: XMP Good Value Cons: Can be a bit finicky to run at the full advertised speed. Overall Review: This DDR4 memory kit from Corsair is a solid choice for any budget minded PC builder. While it has XMP (Intel’s Extreme Memory Profile) built in which will automatically select the best “safe” settings, this particular memory choose a little more on the safe side than the performance side, so you may have to do a little trial and error tweaking to get the settings just right. If you’re the PC…

Pros: There’s little doubt we’ve got something special here, awesome technology @ an affordable price!!! Although it doesn’t meet the literal definition of Moore’s Law (prediction, Intel co-founder Gordon Moore), but, we’re turning another page in PC evolution; DDR4 SDRAM > improved power efficiency > 20-40% over DDR3; twice the speed of its predecessor DDR3. It’s amazing how far we’ve come, not so long ago DDR4 memory was expensive – today – it’s in the same Ball Park as DDR3 memory. A year…

Pros: – Corsair quality. I’ve never had a pair of Corsair sticks go bad on me, ever. Even after intensive 24/7 stress testing. – Passed memtest86 with flying colors. – Heat-spreaders are low profile making them compatible with a lot of CPU coolers. – DDR4 3200 speeds – Works on X99 and Z170 chipsets – Runs fairly cool because of quality Corsair heat-spreaders. Probably can be OCed a little. Cons: – XMP profile and your motherboard should automatically detect best and proper settings for the…

Pros: Used this as memory as my 2nd foray into building a DDR4 system. XMP but I had to make a quick adjustment in BIOS for it to run at the advertised speed; pretty sure that was the motherboard’s fault. Interesting note, this memory is confirmed to fit inside the new Bulldog case using the Corsair cpu liquid cooler that you can get for the case. With that said, this memory will fit in and around those CPU coolers that can be intrusive over the DIMM slot areas. Cons: None, using this kit…

Pros: There is nothing really special about this RAM compared to other RAM. Having 3 different colors for heat spreader is a nice touch, however, only black and red is available at Newegg at the moment. The RAM works well and with Corsiar’s brand name, I expect it to last lifetime under normal uses. It also carries lifetime warranty. Price of this RAM ($75.99 at the time of review) is rather cheap compared to other RAM with same specification. Cons: I did not find any cons. Overall Review: I…

Pros: Aluminum heat spreaders dissipate any heat very effectively. Coating and color look amazing Very stable at 3200 speeds using proper timings. Motherboard did not pick up the maximum speed for these but a simple BIOS change fixed the issue. (Note: Did a test with the default timings, and there was really no difference in speed) Never had a failure with Corsair ram. FYI new DOOM with nVidia 970 and these chips looks amazing. Cons: none Overall Review: Corsair is making so many nice…

Pros: + Choice of colors: Black, Red, Blue for the finicky builder that desires to color match + Low profile heat spreader should accommodate any cooler out there + XMP profile built in for easy installation + CAS Latency: 16-18-18-36 + Budget priced top quality DDR4 3200 Cons: – May have to tweak the timings depending on the mobo. – None Overall Review: It is amazing how quickly we have advanced in DDR4 speed and declined in price in such a short time. That being said this ram was installed…

Pros: – Fast – Low profile to allow room for extra large coolers – Sharp design – Lifetime warranty Cons: – None Overall Review: Corsair RAM is by far and away my favorite top to bottom. However I am quite familiar with Kingston, Crucial, and others as well and they all have their bright spots. This kit performed well, gave me absolutely no trouble out of the box. The only issues I ran into was with my X99 platform which is not the fault of this RAM. Using the XMP profile, it overclocks my…
