Pros: Quickly makes coffee just as advertised in 3 minutes – hot brew extracts coffee flavor evenly. Good Company if you have problems to deal with. They honor their warranty – I had a problem with another model and they promptly swapped it out with a new machine. Cons: None Overall Review: If you have hard water you must clean this as instructed with vinegar to keep it brewing at 3 minutes. I am notorious for not doing it and pay the price for it. Clean it and it will last a long time. I have owned several different models in the last 20+ years and they are all top notch machines. You’re gonna love it !!!!

Pros: STOP ! Have you ever determined the cost/gallon of your favorite drive through brew? You’ll NEVER complain about the cost of gasoline again, you can fund your retirement with those dollars. This is the way to go. After setting up this model I learned how foolish I really was in not believing all the coffee brewing variables I read about online and how each has it’s own effect on the cup you drink. This brewer brings out the best possible coffee in it’s class. I also had some questions about power consumption given the brewing water is held at the correct brewing temp around the clock but I found answers. I thought my purchases of fresh roasted whole beans, fresh grinding them myself, and making a pot with my pour ‘n’ brew was the way to go. Each pot I now make causes me to walk away in shame for having that old brewer in my house. I thought the old coffee was good, this is Grrrrreat ! Follow all clearly written setup instructions to the letter, understand them. Cons: Not a serious problem. BTW I did not take off points because of a small quirk most drip brewers have. Once a pot is brewed, and friends this one is FAST there are some residual drips from the brew basket, these drips can add up on the warming plate, don’t smell nice, and can add an insulating layer to the warming plate. I wait 45 sec after the stream stops and I rarely see the drops. These extra seconds don’t bother me, ten cups of coffee are ready before my 1st bite of rye toast. I do NOT advise removing the pot too soon, allow all the coffee to drain from the brew basket. The design here is to get ALL the ground coffee submerged with the proper water temp ASAP and allow it ALL to drain into the pot. Overall Review: I resolved questions about power consumption.. Fortunately The Egg had an item on sale I’d always wanted to own, (Kill A Watt, P3) which I purchased some months back, it measures and can calculate fairly accurate kWh consumption. This allows you to turn that number into daily or yearly cost using the delivery, taxes, and supply service charges of your own power bill. There are variables that can change my numbers but this may help you. The quick and easy, I make 6 cups 7 days a week I drink a couple cups before leaving and take the balance in an insulated cup to work or my travels so I choose to turn on the MANUAL, warmer plate before starting my brew and turning it off later. The cost of keeping the water hot 24/7 and using the pot warmer 45min./day was, $0.181784. Putting a timer that heats the water reservoir 20 minutes before brewing time, used warming plate as before $0.11108/day. Save $$ sure, but get up early and the water reservoir is cold and you must wait 10/20mins.
