Pros: The Mobile app have lots of features to navigate and change settings, but the browser interface seem to be easier to use & is way better than Linksys Velop (the older model) Cons: The instruction manual have very little to offer, but Asus have put out YouTube videos (especially different backhaul configs for individual nodes) Overall Review: Will definitely keep Asus in mind on newer technology

Pros: Looks nice Cons: Doesn’t bloody work Overall Review: Go ahead and buy it if you like paying return shipping, sure. Ran through the setup and everything acted as if it were fine until it got to updating firmware. Everything went south. Phone app says “Can’t Detect Devices”, SSID shows up, phone shows connected but you can’t get to the Internet. Meanwhile my IoT is connecting just fine via the same gateway. Tried powering off the primary and configuring the second router as the primary, couldn’t even see it. I’ve set up dozens of routers all the way up to actual Cisco gear and this was absolutely the crappiest experience I have ever had.

Pros: This thing has fantastic coverage. It was amazingly easy to set up using the free phone app ASUS had me download. Crazy expensive but justified the purchase as this is the newest and best out there for home WiFi. Overall Review: Would recommend this to anyone with the bucks to spend. Would have felt better about the purchase if the price was $100 lower.

Pros: Worked for awhile. Cons: At around the 60 day mark, the node suddenly stopped working. Power cycled multiple times, tried re-connecting from the base node, nothing. Tried to reset and the reset button broke off and started rattling around inside. Now I have to pay to ship this trash back to Asus and hope they fix it. At the time of writing Asus hasn’t bothered making a manual the ET8 (it’s been out for over six months, so you know how much they care). But they have bothered to make a manual for the XT8, which is similar. Overall Review: Trash that even Asus doesn’t care about, so why should you?

Pros: Great coverage. 2 devices provide great coverage in large 2 floor 2700sq ft home. Overall Review: Fantastic WiFi devices. They operate in 2.4GHz, 5.8GHz, and 6GHz ranges with multi channel config options. The 2.5Gb port is super as a backbone connection to an edge switch. I do not use these for routing functions but it does look like all the typical settings are there. Recommend this 2pk for anyone looking to setup wireless mesh coverage for a large home.
