Overall Review: Upgraded from a standard router that was years old when I upgraded to Gigabit fios internet. Handles the new speed like a champ with Wifi 6, auto switches between 5 ghz and the 2.4 ghz depending on the device hooked to it, covers a large 3 BR apartment with no problems, has some great software and looks like it belongs in a space ship. Not too expensive for a higher end router and I should be future-proofed for years to come.

Pros: – Looks like a space ship with a warp drive – Is fast! – Has RGB…on a ROUTER! – Lots of features, some above my head Cons: – Expensive – RGB control is limited. not much else Overall Review: This thing is FAST! I get FULL download speed on my PHONE, and I’m paying for a 400mbps connection. Speedtest app on my phone goes to 478Mbps over wi-fi! It features Wi-Fi 6, which is better at managing many connections, and in a world that lives on Wi-Fi, that’s a good thing. I thought it’d be a good idea to upgrade my router from the ISP provided one (that I can’t control) to my own with the latest features. Oh, and it looks like something out of Elite Dangerous! The feature set is fantastic if you’re into fine-tuning your network, and also includes its own AI protection, so your security suite can relax a little bit. Loving it so far! Don’t pass this one up!

Pros: Wifi 6 Fast connections on 2.4 and 5G Great coverage I replaced a 8 year old Linksis router with this. I’ve got 5G coverage in areas that weren’t usable before. Supports Mesh WiFi but not needed for my house; this covers all corners. Cons: Nothing notable Overall Review: I would recommend. I would buy again. Great product. Update: The router is working great. I wanted to let others know that I did have some problems connecting with an older (4 years) laptop. I updated the wifi driver on the laptop and problem was resolved.

Pros: Fast. Using on gig over gig fiber and AI MESH. The rgb lighting is a nice touch. Has quite a bit of security and other features. Its Asus so they tend to last and work well, frequent firmware updates for security and fixes and improvements Cons: None I’ve found yet, maybe more RAM but I have over 160 MB free with a most features enabled Overall Review: Using with 2 Asus AX-55s in a hybrid Aimesh ( gigabit ethernet back haul to one, 5g to a detached garage and using 2 IP cams off of the ethernet ports as a bridge network) Central management for wifi, app on cell phone has most of the features vs website console. I replaced an old Asus N56u when I got new fiber service. I couldn’t be happier for the price and I have wifi to most of my neighborhood 🙂 absolutely no dead areas anywhere near my house/garage.

Pros: Easy to set up Reliable Fast Easy to use as part of ASUS AImesh system Cons: Nothing so far except its a little pricey. Overall Review: Excellent router. I bought two of these to work with my ASUS RT-AX86U main router (wired backhaul) and set up an ASUS AImesh system for my house. They work perfectly. ASUS has a great web interface and stand alone app to manage the router(s). It was easy to set up, and best of all, its fast and dependable.
