Pros: On a 1200 Mbps max service received 1424 Mbps down in first speed test after installation. Overall Review: Would recommend this product. It is one of several ASUS ROG items I have obtained recently, instanced by a PG32UQX monitor and, thus far, have been pleased with these purchases.

Pros: Fast speed, I have a 2Gbps Internet connection and the router is able to handle that WAN connection but I also have a 10Gbps NIC in my desktop and it handles that up to 2Gbps as well. So yes, you get 1-2Gbps port for WAN and 1 for LAN. Wireless is awesome and I have full coverage in my over 2000Sq Ft house on both floors. All devices connect without any issues. Setup is extremely simple even a non-tech person could do it. Useful feature set out of the box for monitoring and tweaking connections and setting policies/acls. Cons: So the big minus was when I first got the router. Everything seemed okay until I noticed I was not seeing any traffic show up on the analyzer. Then checking other tabs and nothing at all showed up for any of the devices displaying any traffic at all. Protection claimed to be enabled (which is from TrendMicro) but it was not working or displaying anything. Ran some tests and nothing tripped. Reached out to support and they had me try reseting to factory which didn’t do anyting. I ended up fixing it myself by doing a hard wipe. This should have been supports first recommendation. Once i did that I was able to start seeing everything and all the features started working. Another minus is the limited number of LAN ports. There are only 4 but thankfully I had a spare dumb switch laying about and used it for other wired devices. I wish it actually was 10Gbps capable. Overall Review: Overall a very excellent router. Provides good coverage for your home, even a large one. Price is a bit high

Pros: Awesome router, Roku issue resolved, increasing to 5-star rating! Cons: Everything is now smooth sailing with this router! Thanks Asus! This earlier issue was resolved: Roku devices CANNOT connect to this device! Here is the issue at Roku’s site: https://community.roku.com/t5/Network-Wireless-Wired-Connections/Won-t-Connect-to-wifi-Error-Code-014-30-with-ASUS-router/td-p/767650 Overall Review: Solid router! Seeing consistently lower(better) ping times. Upgraded from Asus RT-AC68U.

Pros: WiFi performance is very strong and the unit is responsive and snappy. Cons: The stock firmware is missing some key features and advertised functions. There is no OpenVPN client option in the stock firmware for site-to-site VPN. It advertises a ‘Gamer VPN’ to accelerate game routing a latency, but that function isn’t availble. Overall Review: Once the software catches up this unit might be great, but at the moment it feels half-baked.
