Pros: – Lots of features – everything you need in a motherboard and some – Solid construction – Clear manual instructions – Runs solid with the 12900K Cons: – HUGE coil whine in 2 boards I received, coming from VRM area. Totally unacceptable – Its 2022, they send motherboard stickers which I care less about, but they dont send motherboard screws which I actually need to install a motherboard. SMH Overall Review: 2 boards with loud VRM coil whine. What are you doing Asus? Burning capacitors?

Pros: It’s pretty Cons: As is well documented these have a manufacturing defect. Asus response is “Please make a replacement of different model like APEX because there is an ongoing issue regarding the reversed capacitor on this ROG MAXIMUS Z690 Hero right now.” If you want to keep the same board you can send it in for repair, which will take 4+ weeks if they even bother – “You may send the unit to the facility, and since there are no stocks for replacement, facility will most likely offer…

Overall Review: Trying to figure out why I specifically asked if these recall boards were in your inventory so I could avoid the hassle of dealing with it. You all said NO. Apparently however instead of sending these back to Asus yourselves youve decided to pass that burden onto me.

Pros: Great board, if it was manufactured properly Cons: Recalls on this board due to the manufacturer installing a capacitor backwards, causing fried RAM modules and fires. Overall Review: Dont buy this until they get all the faulty boards out of the market.

Pros: None. Cons: Everything Overall Review: Officially recalled. With absolutely no realistic options for replacement from Asus. Was forced into a strix which works, with about 1/4 of the features you’d need. This is on top of 4 asus rog strix screens all DOA. And a 3080ti which also needs to be replaced. It’s safe to say that in spite of a silicon shortage, asus decided to drop the quality of their products well below acceptable levels. To the point I’m not willing to buy any Asus product…

They did give Asus in-store $, but all products-of-interest are out of stock… – Bluetooth does not work. Was excited for BT 5.2 It will discover and ‘connect’, then immediately drop the device. Tried on 2 motherboards with a couple devices. – POST issues. One of our boards will get stuck in POST during power-on. It will only finish booting…
