Pros: – Posted first try – SLI and Crossfire Support – SSD Heatsink Cons: – No Wifi – Installs Armoury Crate on bootup to windows (you have to opt out in MOBO) – Integrated Fan makes me worry about the long term Overall Review: AMD 3900X GTX 1080 TI 32 GB GSKILL Trident Z 3200 5 Starts because I knew what I was getting, and while I don’t agree with auto installing software. I can get past it without docking a star.

Pros: Solid set of features Understated but nice aesthetics Cons: Needs a couple more SATAs or USB ports to be the leader at this price-point. Mine has developed a taste for human blood… your results may vary. Overall Review: It has been a long time since I built a PC. I thought this motherboard would be a nice reentry into the hobby. The board has solid features, subtle but designer look, and isn’t overboard on the flashy stuff. After receiving all the parts, I test assembled everything…

Pros: Great Bios setup and boot qualities. Can set memory speeds easily with over clock setting for memory only and leave everything else on auto. Solid system engineering! Optical fiber out sounds great in my 7:2 receiver and translates Netflix, Prime, or Blu Ray movies sound tracks better than all previous Asus boards I have used, and they were real high quality. Cons: There is a little confusion about setting up memory speeds, but youtube shows step by step and it works easily. Should be…

Pros: Looks great, bios is decent, and rgb syncs easily. Included manual helped a lot with all the different headers so building was a breeze and overclocking was super simple. Cons: Now to the bad. My on board headers seem to be faulty. HD audio, usb, power led, the whole bunch. I’ll randomly get usb disconnects, audio drops, and my case led flickers (happened on two cases). Ran a usb program and noticed it’s all of my mobo headers as I confirmed no I/O usb had disconnect issues. Also…

Pros: Update: 4-20-20: I now have 6 of these builds on this board to friends and customers and it is my go to build for anyone looking to break into pcie 4.0 nvme drives. One of which was with a 3950x and a 2tb Sabrent rocket that hits 5100mbs+ write constantly, those are the kind of days I live for. Honestly one thing that I am so over and done with, I get why people build to overclock cpus and graphics and anything they can and I love it too but I prefer reliable builds that hit strong…

Pros: As a first time builder I was originally in the market for a different board. However availability due to COVID19 had me waiting for the stock to replenish. Decided to use the time to do further research, based on price and availability, and ran into this MB. The more I read the more I liked it, and for a little more I purchased it. Probably not your high-end MB (price wise), but I think it has high-end capability in terms of connections and outputs. I did like the USB-C output for the…

Overall Review: Worked very well for about 6 weeks then wouldn’t post with a yellow light on DRAM. I had two sticks of 16GB RAM, tried all slots and with each stick and no luck. When I called Asus support they said that the RAM was not on their list (even though it worked fine for 6 weeks and met the specs). Looking online it looks like there are lots of other people with this issue and the only fix was to replace the board. I would recommend another board and manufacturer.

  8. Jonathon B.

Pros: – Handles the Ryzen 5900X without problems. – Handles the Samsung 980 Pro NVME at full 4.0 speed (getting 6800 Mb/s). – Visually pleasing. – No fitment issues with the built-in IO shroud and a 140mm exit fan in a Fractal Define R6 or 7 case – It seems to cover just about any user base from gamer to home workspace to office professional, and could do all that in the same day in the same build. Cons: – USB issues… seriously? USB problems in 2021? Issues affect ALL USB not only the…
