Pros: – Insane FPS gains. – It hits 4.8GHz without tweaking anything besides turning XMP on for the memory. – Runs at 41c idle with Noctua UH-14s, don’t really pay attention when I’m doing stuff but I don’t hear the fans ramp up at all. Pros: – Better than my previous i5-8400 – Now I can watch youtube on the side while gaming and not lag 🙂 Cons: – Probably Out of Stock – Kind of in a niche spot. If you can, just go for ryzen 5 5600x or pony up and go for ryzen 9 5900x Overall Review: It’s my first AMD cpu after using a Toshiba laptop APU 10+ years ago, and it’s going great. Overall Review: For those lucky enough to snag an AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPU right now at MSRP please check your bios version on your motherboard before first boot. First time I booted this up the motherboard wouldnt recognize the cpu. Luckily I had a 3600 to test the motherboard. It worked fine so I figured the bios hadnt been updated.
