Pros: – Largest HDD on the market right now – Power efficient – Run quiet and cool – Reasonably priced Cons: NONE Overall Review: I have 6 of these, running along with some 18TB WD Gold which are essentially the same product. They are great for building NAS, DAS and surveillance use cases. Excellent enterprise grade drives. Highly recommended.

Pros: 16TB, 7200rpm Cons: It’s kind of loud, warranty confusion Overall Review: This drive is on the cutting edge with all the bells and whistles – EAMR, helium-filled, triple stage actuator, and a whopping nine platters. Pros: – No errors with full badblocks pass – Lot’s of space Cons: – More expensive now than when I bought. Overall Review: I previously owned WD Red Pro 18 TB drives. These are absolutely identical in terms of hardware (as far as I can tell). May have firmware differences, but I doubt it. So between this and the Red Pro, I’d buy whichever was cheaper. They both look identical and have same performance.

Pros: -It plugs and play Cons: -None so far – It does make an odd noise when doing file transfers if its been idle for and extended period of time. Overall Review: This is a solid HDD so far. I plugged it in and was recognized. Keep in mind you will about 10% of stated capacity when formatted (mine showed 16.3TB after formatting) though that is not unexpected. Drive does have a 5 Year Warranty. Was able to confirm through WD Online chat, they also advised that Data Center drives like this it…
