Pros: Fast speeds. Priced right for a 6th generation i7. The onboard Intel HD Graphics were enough to play counter strike global offensive getting on average 45 frames. with a range from mid 30s to mid 50’s. Game play was very smooth on high settings. If this is the only game you play I wouldnt even see a need for a dedicated video card. Cons: Wasnt free. Overall Review: I’m mainly writing this review out of concerns for my temps. I am on the Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 motherboard. Im using the…

Pros: Is newer and a new platform. Overcolock well I had mine to 4.4 no problem but wouldn’t pass stress test. Cons: A backward step so far from the Z97 platform but has future possibility’s A 4.4 wondows exp rated it 7.7 for those that want to know.. Overall Review: I have a 4670k ant it rates 7.8 at stock and a 4790k that rates 7.8 also and no matter how are a push I give any of then I can get a 7.9 across the board.

Pros: This is currently the fastest quad core I7 you can get. The stock clock of 4ghz makes it blazing fast even if you do not choose to overclock. The fact that is is a K model means with the right Motherboard you can easily push it to 4.6ghz, some have pushed these close to 5ghz, but I was not so lucky. Cons: Very hard to find for sale due to Intel not making enough Overall Review: I know you are asking yourself should I get this or go for the 5820k. I think it depends on your use case,…

Pros: Price ($243) Price to Perf Ratio Cons: Lower Base Clock (3.5GHz & 3.9GHz Boost) No hyperthreading (4 Cores, 4 Threads) 6MB Cache Overall Review: This is a great price to performance CPU. There is really no need for Hyper threading unless you know you have applications that can actually take advantage of the extra threads (Spoilers, most games don’t do this yet). Coming from an i5-3570K I definitely didn’t have an issue with running another i5 in my system. I was going to splurge on the…

  6. Chad G.

Pros: is the electronic circuitry within my computer that carries out the instructions of my computer programs by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by my instructions. Cons: Only knows two numbers, zero and one. That’s pretty frustrating!

Pros: -A MASSIVE improvement over my old AMD FX-6300. I was shocked at how much better it is. -Able to run intensive games with background programs running with no slowdown at all. Cons: -None. Overall Review: Really only got the 6600K because I couldn’t afford the 6700K, but so far I haven’t felt limited by it. It’s taken everything I’ve thrown at it like a champ.
