Pros: This replaced a Perfection 3200 and is appreciably faster and higher res. Addition of Digital ICE in hardware a big plus, though it does slow scans. Works great with prints and negatives. Comes with Photoshop Elements, excellent software. Very happy with speed and quality of results. A bit more expensive than the similar Canon models but worth it. Cons: none

Pros: LED allows short warm warm-up. The unit provides very good scans for its price. Cons: Thin illumination area only allows four slides to be copied per pass. Software functionality is limited. Overall Review: Ended up returning this to Newegg and purchasing the V750 Pro.

Pros: I had this scanner for onlt a few days and its does everthing I would want it to do. The ice is out standing with old yellow photo’s. It cleans up old and worn film to a new state. Cons: non!

  4. Amber C.

Pros: This scanner does an excellent job scanning prints. The film scanner is good, but not excellent. Cons: If you are expecting the quality of a drum scanner for the low price of $179, then you will be disappointed.
If you are looking to scan negatives for anything other than the web, I would not recommend this scanner.
If you need high quality scans of negatives, I would suggest having them professionally scanned, or maybe shelling out the big bucks for the higher end film scanner Overall Review: I bought this on sale for $179, I don’t know if I would have paid the full price $250.

  5. MR M.

Pros: I got it to scan in Photos. Scans everything including photos, text, magazines, newspapers, & etc. It’s fully adjustable for resolution & dpi. 100% better then any All-in-One Inkjet/Deskjet unit that’s on the market. Cons: Almost none other then I wish that it were upgradeable to USB3. Overall Review: None

  6. Elizabeth M.

Pros: 64000DPI Scan. On Prints i only scan 800 dpi and the quility is amazing, also makes it easier to use in Photoshop (included with printer is Photoshop Elements 9). The Auto Color correct and dust removal works Great, adds great Natural Colors from older Color lost Prints and Negatives. Cons: None so far. Overall Review: Still working with the Digital Ice software, was scanning Parents wedding album. The Pictures over time have cracked. Digital Ice was able to take out about 75% of the scratches Rest need to use Photoshop.
You will need alot of HDD space to use this scanner. If you plan to scan all old Prints. I am already up to 40GB of Photos.

  7. Tim R.

Pros: Excellent scan quality from negatives.
Scanner software splits and rotates scans and automatically numbers multi-image scans.
Dust reduction, color correction and digital ICE work well
Reasonably speedy scans Cons: Scanning large format negatives is somewhat cumbersome – I can fit three on at a time. Overall Review: I’m in the process of scanning several thousand old photos and negatives and decided to upgrade from my old trusty xerox to hopefully get better quality and increase my workflow efficiency. The V600 has allowed me to do all this. The quality of scans of my 35mm negatives is impressive, and the scanner software allows me to automatically split, rotate and name photos with accuracy; speeding up my scanning chores. Overall I’m very happy with the V600.
