Pros: Construction and materials. Included equipment and accessories. Good documentation. Fast to heat up and switches modes quickly. Good value compared to what other manufactures provide in an espresso machine. Cons: Cup height/clearance. (Just a 1/4″ – 1/2″ would have been great.) Can get messy with grinds. Discharges steam too quickly when switching from steam to brew mode. Overall Review: We had a budget super automatic. Purchased this Breville. Made one cup of espresso. Gave the super automatic away. Just that simple. I am a big coffee drinker and advocate of French Press, but new to espresso. There is a learning curve, but Breville tries to help you along with good documentation, easy controls and solid equipment. The unit has a couple cons that could easily be improved upon, but it deserves 5 eggs when compared to other devices in the price range. I like it and look forward to updating my review in the future.
