Pros: Ease of installation, great sound quality, setup and adjust ability was a breeze. Easily switchable between this and system sound if needed but I don’t think you would need to. Cons: Connecting to the front panel was easy but would not mute external speaker system when headset was used. Overall Review: After upgrading my desktop os, lost the ability to do one thing I love to do and that is to play music on line in chat rooms. So I got this to give me the options needed to play again….

Pros: PCIe, Soundfont support, latency configuration, appears to be Windows 10 compatible. Very good sound quality. Cons: Windows 8.1 compatibilty issues. Midi applications are more difficult to configure in recent Windows operating systems. Older version of PCIe. Pros: – High quality audio – 7.1 Channel surround – 2 Microphone inputs Cons: – Weird software included has some strange, non useful features – Confusing placement of the front audio jack connector – Poor labeling on the back for connections Overall Review: The front panel I/O connectors share channels with the stereo speakers & one of the mic inputs, so note that if you intend to use headphones you must turn off your speakers too.

Pros: Installation is simple, works well out of the box with new build on Z390/LGA1151 motherboard using the most current Audigy 5 RX website software. Nice adjustment features with kool & klean audiophile sounds. Better than motherboard audio by far. Cons: At this price point, I am always hoping for more control for each frequency, much like a full equalizer from back in the day. Overall Review: Recommended at this price point

Pros: I’m a long time sound blaster user, going back to the ISA cards mid 90’s. Loved the SB Live and XF-I cards. When I was migrating from the XF-i cards to the newer gen sound blasters I went with a Z card initially, I hated it. Pros: Punchy sound, latency free triggering for Addictive Drums 2 Cons: There’s a little bit to figure out and to fine tune using ASIO drivers. Overall Review: This card is completely compatible with ASIO drivers but you have to turn off some features like CSSD 3D sound. I only use 2.0 output straight to a 1200 WATT dual speaker, mono PA system. My drums sound way more authentic and extremely powerful. Pros: I needed something better than the onboard audio. This was it. Installation of card and software was a breeze. Creative Labs had been my go to for sound. This unit delivers. We shall see long term as well. Cons: Not really a con. I wish the plug in ports were color coded. Overall Review: I would buy again.

Overall Review: Originally bought this thing. For motherboard or the sound card died. My new motherboard ended up with a Realtek. Had so many problem with the driver. I said blank this and put the sound card in best choice I ever made. Next time I buy a motherboard I will make sure it doesn’t have Realtek
