SonicWall SOHO Wireless-N Gen 6 Firewall
Jeffrey R. –
Pros: Pretty easy to set up. These low-end ones finally have gigabit — that was a long wait for something that’s been used in a lot of stuff for 12+ years. Cons: Although they are pretty easy to set up, it seems like you have to jump around the interface a lot. Things that are related should be right next to each other. Dual band wifi would have been nice, as the wifi is slow (I get about 30M on wifi, and 65M on wired). I’ve been using Sonicwall for nearly 8 years, and they have always had poor wifi — I found their SonicPoints quite troublesome back when I was working for an IT company that exclusively used SonicWall stuff. The name of this model is stupid. SOHO. They made one called that years ago. Overall Review: Although I don’t like Sonicwall wifi, I got the wifi version due to it having more flash so you can put the newest firmware on. Supposedly you can’t on the wired-only SOHO.
