Pros: Replaced a Dell 24 port 10/100 switch with this one. The unit is solid in construction and has a good heavy feel to it. Plugged it in, worked perfectly. We have Cat6 cable throughout (not that you always need it) and all of the computers with gigabit ethernet cards got the full gigabit connection. Haven’t had a single problem since install. Cons: None Overall Review: This is an excellent switch for the price. TP-Link seems to be a great vendor.

Pros: Very simple install. Removed my old faithful 100Mbps switch from the rack, put this switch in its place. I ran CAT5e throughout the house years ago and it’s handling the 1Gbps just fine. Cons: None so far. Overall Review: The rack mounts are removable if you wish to set this switch on a surface such as a table. Rubber feet are included for that purpose.

Pros: Small footprint (7″ deep) and comes with rack mounting “ears” to use with 19″ rack. Uses a standard power plug, like the one for a desktop computer (supplied in the box) and works quite well. Does not power unused ports even if a cable is attached. Cons: This did not fit into a normal 6″ deep rack (punch down rack) so I had to wall mount it. Does not affect air flow, just looks a bit different. Looking at a 12″ deep 6u rack to update my network area. Overall Review: Great switch, replaced my 16port TP-Link switch, was plug and play. Is 1.5″ deeper than the 10/100 it replaced but still runs quietly, cool and without a fan. I also like that it does not use a “brick” type power adapter. Simplifies the wiring closet and makes use of a standard PC power cord, I used a 90 degree to adapt it to my wiring layout, but a straight plug works as well. Just know that it is 7.1″ deep without power cord, so make sure to add that into your rack mount equations.

Pros: Easy to use, has a lot of ports, and has gigabit speeds. Cons: Nothing to name. Overall Review: I just wired most of my house with ethernet and needed an unmanaged switch since I’m not doing anything critical here that would require more sophisticated features. Just plug in the cables and you are done. Enjoy your internet!

Pros: Simple to use and no major issues, Cons: I have lost a couple of ports and 3 more were showing a considerable amount of lag. With a 200mbs service down and a USG with Cloud key monitoring the traffic. I am only able to maintain approx. 96 – 128mbs across 18 ports and this is with 0 AP’s connected. The server has 4-gigabit ports where 2 are aggregated for input /failover traffic and the other 2 are for outbound/faIlover. the server has only been able to hold 77-94Mbs transfer rates using a single 1tb file. Overall Review: I will be swapping this out with either a Cisco, Netgear or a Ubiquity Managed switch at a later date. For a starter, budget build, though it has and does a good job. For an SMB. But I would recommend a better-managed switch for more versatility though.

Pros: Switch has worked great for a few months now. I have it in my garage where it is hot and so far so good. Cons: None. Overall Review: For a cheaper switch and for basic home use you cant go wrong with it.
