Pros: Good switch with reasonable flexibility in configuration. I’ve used a bunch of Netgear products over the years, and they’re all solid little machines. Cons: Initially wants you to setup and register the unit with an iphone app (mostly so you can take a photo of the serial # & barcode to automatically enter the info. Yet another user ID in Netgear’s menagerie of baffling support programs (inSight, MyNetgear, etc.), and dizzying array of constantly changing web site portals (insight.netgear.com, netgear.com/insight, accounts.netgear.com). Overall Review: Perfectly good little switch. Configure directly via your web browser, forget it, and it will probably run forever.

Pros: – Works fine if you just want unmanaged features. Cons: – Netgear intertwines their Insight service into this device which makes it a nightmare to deal with. Overall Review: – If you are looking for a managed switch for home (or business) avoid Netgear like COVID-19. I will be replacing this device on principle.

Pros: – VLANs – WebUI management – Price point Cons: – No LACP Overall Review: Decent switch that comes as an addition to a GS108Ev2 that has been going strong for many many years. Exactly the same feature set, but now it has a WebUI instead of the horrendous ProSafePlus utility. A good contender if you need a few ports more with VLAN support.
