Pros: Plugged it in and it started working right away with no hassles. Got this for $30 after rebate, which was an awesome deal. Cons: The box is somewhat bigger than it needs to be, but it’s probably my fault for saving all the boxes anyway. Overall Review: Haven’t gotten the rebate back yet, assuming there are no problems with that then I’m a satisfied customer!

Pros: Once you set it up, you can forget about it. Does what it’s supposed to seamlessly. Cons: I would have put the link LED’s on the other side. Overall Review: Worth every penny. My small network was based off a wireless router that just couldn’t cut it bandwidth wise being an older 10/100 product. 10 was more like it between hard wired computers. This cured THAT problem big time. Large file transfers are now in the 100 to 160 MBPS range. Previously 16MB at best.

Pros: The construction of this switch is great, the housing is a sturdy powder coated metal and the ports have a positive feel to them. This switch requires zero setup, just plug in your devices and go. The switch performs as described and has been trouble free in 24/7 service. This switch also does not have a fan or any other active cooling in it, so no noise. This will work well in a home theater install as well as an office. Cons: No cons i can think of for this switch. Overall Review: Its small, compact, reliable and quiet. thats about all there is to say about it.

Pros: Product itself works fine. Cons: Misleading info about rebate. Overall Review: Newegg says this product will get a ten-dollar rebate from Netgear, but that’s simply not true at the current price. According to the terms of the rebate offer (read them for yourself), your purchase price must be at least forty-seven dollars, and any discounts, promotions, or coupons applied to the product (such as Newegg’s sale price or promo code) will also disqualify the purchase. I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy this product. Just don’t buy it from Oct-Dec 2015 with the expectation of receiving a rebate, because you won’t.

Pros: I like the Netgear ProSafe line and use them for my own network and those of my customers. I highly recommend them. Cons: The Rebate on this sale item is showing a minimum purchase price of $47.00 Because of Newegg is selling this at $39.99 the rebate does not apply. Overall Review: please fix rebate OR remove the false advertisement, you cannot buy the switch for the end price or $29.99 as stated.

Pros: Extraordinary performance for this price point. I have bought many of both the 8 port and 5 port versions of this switch over the years and the design keeps improving. Its a rock solid solution both for the mother-in-laws’s home network or between a couple servers. I had a very old unit die after a move and was not aware of the lifetime warranty….Netgear immediately had a many generation newer unit shipped to replace my failed one……Netgear – the way tech vendors should operate. Cons: can’t think of any…other than I shipped my power chord with the broken switch…and only got a new switch back….they quickly shipped a new power chord as well after I contacted them.

Pros: -Easy setup, just plug and play -Allowed 1G connection speeds that TWC router wasn’t capable of handling. Cons: None Overall Review: Besure your patch cables are Cat 6 for best connection performance. I forget to order at same time as switch and had to hold off setting up.
